2015-16: What was the most bizarre thing you saw on mountain?
I had a bunch of H.S. friends come and stay with me for a week in Jan. I remembered all as being good skiers. Currently, they are spread throughout the country, and some have not skied in 20 years. I had to lend a few skis, gloves, boots, jackets....you name it. My wife cut out for the week. Before she left, she told me not to lend out her stuff. Of course, I did not listen and lent someone her favorite pair of Auras. We were riding up the Super Condor chair. There were three friends on the chair in front of my chair. As we approached the top of the lift, I was yucking it up with a friend. All of a sudden, we noticed one of the girls in the chair in front of us, who was at the point to disembark, plant a tip into the hard snow, face plant (BOOM) right where she should have stood and exited the chair. Damn near broke her nose. The lifts stopped the lift and ran to her aid. The patrollers exited the hut and did the same. Six or seven of us were laughing our asses off. When I finally got off the chair, I looked down at my wife skis, and one of the tips (not the one she dug into the hardback) was bent at a 75 degree angle. Damned metal skis!!!
