How's the snowpack down in the San Juans holding up?

Pretty good, though the dust layer is worse than it is up north and snow is peeling off the dust layer on sunny aspects. There are some good examples of this on CAIC.

Good day in the Silver. Snow was perfect at the top at 10....bottom was mank.

The snow was perfect for the first 300 yards at 11am. The first third was nice but heavy, pretty marginal the remaining 2000'. But it was still sweet.

It did. It was fun. And I went mountain biking today. Maybe I should post this in the "past your prime" thread, but if I can still hike and ski that, and bike the next day, I'm still doing ok even though 50 is staring me down.

I have the name rocket on a bunch of things - I never really cared for it. I'm happy with this one.. Since everyone 30yrs old or younger associates my name with lightning, and most people call me that.
