Dammit. Had some business come up for tomorrow that I have to deal with. I'm out.

Skinewhere, I'm always up for hiking some lines in the neighborhood, you got my number, let's get some.

hoosier never closes because of snow, it does close once in awhile for an accident, if its evening rush hour when it closes you can bet most people are drunk by the time they head home when it opens

    Which route?

Took my bro-in-law up Quandary on sat and we ended up turning around. Hail, lightning and +40mph winds. As soon as we started skiing down the sun came out of no where but he was beat.

have not been able to upload pics.....

odd closing day at the jane. got to lot early with no crowd and sun peaking out, things were looking up, cold beer at 8 seemed like a good call. skied a few runs with non mag buddy, no crowds, was able to really open it up. hatch and his non mag buddy showed up. got a couple fast runs in, just soft enough to lay into super g turns all the way down. on way up super about 10:30 got alot of thunder and heavy graupel falling. hurt like hell skiing in it and got off the mountain fast as we could.

lift closed to try and wait it out, got to lot and set up topper. hatch lived up to his name and broke out some fucking great hatch green chili. was great over the brats and washed down with a cold beer. stood around in shit weather for couple hours.

they called it closed a bit after noon, weather sucked. Still heavy graupel off and on so packed it up and closed out lift serve for me.

weird, lifts spun at ABasin all day on Saturday. My closeout of lift-served for 2015-16; turned in my daughter's seasonal rentals yesterday.

Still planning on at least one bc day, hopefully Buffalo Mt in a couple of weeks. Any been on the Silver recently?

For an FYI, the direct line on emperor was in cleanly on saturday. It wont stay in too long if it gets warm. Maybe a few days before there are a few feet of down climbing or you have to take the less aesthetic skiers left line down the ridge.

With stevens gulch rd still closed, the obvious choices are Emperor/T-fork, or dead dog + kelso. That way you get most of your vert back on the down. Kelso has quite a few lines in skiable condition right now (skied NW face last weds), and they face N, so can easily be skied after dead dog.

Nice work. I've never seen that in before, but it looks rad.

Also skied it 2 years ago in April. Just takes some good upsloping. Fun line. 2500'. Cold snow lasts well on skiers left. Both times hit a few rocks while staying out of the sun.

Sweet!! We bailed on dead dog cause someone was saying it wasn't very good right now.

Great turns on Daves Wave today. Kinda wind scoured on top but lower bowl creamy 6-12". Super frozen underneath. Strong winds so I suspect the easterly wind loaded areas are slabbier.

Love knocking out 3 pow laps in just a few hours. Pretty good out there. Fun springy snow. ENE and S aspects. I can never seem to get a tracks photo of the S line for some reason. Partial clouds and wind kept the S aspect nice and cool up high.
