Yeah, kind of fun to watch people backing down from cottonwood. With the melt, I bet that is a complete mire. Hagerman would be ugly too.

I hear some of our food and drink establishments may run out of food. If that happens I'll stand next to the Jerome and sell shots of scotch for $100.....

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

Amazing how dumb people are. Technology doesn't make them smarter. Not to mention - how the fuck do you miss the signs saying Indy is closed? There's one at the Rte 82 turnoff, and even one on I70 up by Copper.

The last big rock slide that closed I-70 in GC, geologically speaking grazed my hair. Not really scary or anything but it just missed me by a couple hours. I think that was around 2011.

WTF - is that even possible mid-summer short of real 4X4-ing?

Not to split hairs, but that wasn't the last big rock slide.

I - 70 was bone dry today, why the hell did stoner boy rear end an SUV and fuck an otherwise easy and clear drive? I wanted to yell some shit as I drive by the dude with the pot leaf hat talking to the popo but my daughter was in the back seat.

Drive up today was pretty busy and people seemed angry, saw two instances of road rage ass holes going at it. Dude, you're going skiing, calm down. It wasn't even a pow day, guess it was a fight for the fresh corduroy.

This was just past HWY40 at about 4:30. Luckily I was pretty close, those who were about 30 minutes behind me would have been screwed.

the only plus of the canyon being closed is that there ain't no trucks on the highway
for fun I took the far right lane the whole way down from the tunnel to trailerthorne, no one in my way keep left except to pass

The lack of trucks was nice. Sat on about 80 in the right lane going up to the tunnel. People seem to be scared of that lane. Two buses over there on the way down so I got to watch people be too stupid to pass.

Hungover this morning so didn't drive up until 1130. Got a front row spot at 1245 and skied slush the rest of the day. No traffic on the way home.

It consistently blows my mind that people want to drive up at 6AM

Toll lane has been a big help this winter. I would say it's working slightly better than expected. Affordable too. Highest I've seen is $8.
Did see a few people who were trying to make a move into the express lane over the double line, but they quickly backed off when realizing a Suburban was coming at them going 65+

The best part about the toll lane is that it's making the drivers in the non-toll lane drive better, gotta keep this traffic moving so I don't have to spend 8 dollars.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

Whats the story with the 55 speed limit? It used to be 65 until IS, and now it isn't? Noticeing a lot of slowdowns because of it.

Going WB? It's always dropped to 55 at the bottom of Floyd Hill until IS. Been that way at least 15 years.
