Eastbound - can't remember where it kicks in, but I think Lawson? Its one of those screen-based ones so it can change, but wide open dry roads and it was 55?

I think that toll zone is still considered a construction zone, hence the reduced speed
For how long for? Or is that forever? If so... thats some fuckin bull

Don't think this is going to accomplish much as people that know to park there usually either have good tires already or are (hopefully) parking there to avoid driving their shit rig up into the mtns, but hey, at least they are trying, ammirite?
^^^^they need to do this at every ski resort too.
I got a flyer on my car in that lot a few ago, saying my tires were good. It also had a 10% coupon attached. At least it's a start.
What a waste of time. It's enraging how CDOT spends it's time making it look like they're accomplishing something. Stop with the bandaid fixes, the partial widening of lanes, metering, all that. I70 is broken. Bite the bullet, plan for the future and build another highway!!
Somebody went into the median just east of Downieville
I wonder if this started in the narrow express lane
Looks like someone probably merged into the toll lane which was traveling much faster. The fact that the toll lane was closed should have clued me into the need to get the hell off the highway but instead my dumb ass stayed on and I got to sit in that jack ass's traffic.
at some point people were talking on this thread about the need for development in idaho springs, todays denver post out lined some pie in the sky bullshit development idea that these idiots have put together, gonna put 70 million into developing the town
the article was followed by minturn's one failed development idea after another
place your bets on real estate tanking soon with all these bullshit ideas coming out of the woodwork
It's incredible to think that all these #ColoradoNatives - people who could go to the beach and fail to envision building a sandcastle - are descendants of people who one day decided they'd just pack all their shit in a wagon and walk here from the other side of the country... people who were themselves descendants of others who decided on day to sail the better part of 4,000 miles across the Atlantic to move to a place they'd once seen a picture of because somebody drew it on a piece of parchment.
Way to lose the fucking plot guys...
#WTFCO?

How does Tahoe get 20"+ and people can drive and get to the resorts? Here if it snows 2" there are accidents that close the hwy. Is the difference real chain laws?
Cuz California is so much better than Colorado. We can believe you're pro.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
The chain laws are strictly enforced, and there is signage everywhere about the chain laws.
Strangest thing I remember about being in Tahoe was people driving on dry roads in town with their chains still on.
It is a completely different culture. Basically everyone has chains in the Sierra Nevada
I survived the gauntlet of rental cars and out of state plates today. Spring break!!!
