Cincinnati officer indicted for murder. He pretty much just executes the guy.

It appeared the dude reached for the ignition and started up his when the cop told him to stop. Don't think shooting was warranted but seems like the cop was reacting to his behavior.

Front license plate stop ---> license to use any means necessary to give citation.

I don't understand why people are so concerned about not having a front licence plate that they'd risk a traffic stop over it?

Letting a front licence plate stop escalate into murder charges filed... is bad recruitment, training and culture. Hopefully this guy will do very serious time maybe a ballsy enough prosecutor who will push for death sentence.. It might make every other cop in this country act a little less aggressively.

    Probably not.

But I'm beginning to wonder if the overwhelmingly shitty fucking policing in this country isn't largely due to the fact that we have too many shitty little police departments all running to their own "standards" of recruitment, training, operating procedures, management etc. etc. etc.

No front licence plate guy was shot by a University of Cincinnati cop... Are University administrations really capable of running their own police departments? Even if they are.. do we want them to run their own?

Presumably the cream of wanna be cops aren't attracted to these small departments either.. so we end up with the worst candidates working for suspect departments...

I don't have stats to back this up but I'm pretty sure that in almost every small/medium town across America the cops grew up in that town for the most part. And they weren't the ones getting A's in school, to say the least. 3 guys I knew growing up are now cops in my hometown. I knew these guys. They were punks and thugs in high school and I find it hard to believe they've changed in the least.

But those punks and thugs didn't get busted or I would think a criminal record would prohibit them from being in LE. That said, sneaky fucking pucks that are smart enough not to get busted as kids are likely your worst nightmare as cops. It all makes sense to me now.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Teens Mistakenly Knock On Door Of Off Duty NJ State Trooper. Trooper Shoots, Massive Manhunt Ensues. Teens Arrested

"The teens reportedly had left a high-school graduation party and were attempting to meet a friend at his home on West Mountain Road. Instead, they erroneously went to the home next door, and after repeatedly ringing the doorbell and loudly knocking, the unidentified trooper came to the door and yelled at them before they ran away. The three got into a vehicle and the officer fired three gun shots as they attempted to flee, disabling the car about a half a mile away where two of them – John Baker-Marasco and Jesse Farcorn – were apprehended and taken to the Netcong Trooper Barracks for questioning and processing."

Video shows Seattle cop arresting elderly black man using golf club as cane

    Bonus info:

Ex-Girlfriend Says Golf Club Cop Cynthia Whitlatch Is "a Racist" Who Once "Stole Marijuana" from SPD Evidence

"According to Purucker, during their relationship Whitlatch "frequently" used the word "nigger."
Whitlatch would arrive home, Purucker said, and say things like "Goddamn niggers again" or "You should have seen what we did to this guy—we jacked him up."

    Just for the funny....

Video from bus driver’s body camera could cost 2 deputies their jobs

A bus driver in Seattle was accused by two cops that he was cursing at them which put his (the bus drivers) job on the line. Not 1, but 2 cops claimed they were cursed at. Unbeknownst to the cops, the bus driver was wearing glasses that video and audio record. BUSTED. Driver gets to keep his job but the transportation authority sent a bulletin that their drivers are not to wear personal recording devices. Good times...

"Caballero, referring to the f-word, filed a complaint about an hour after the incident, alleging Kirkpatrick yelled and said, “You got three (expletive) deputies out here that don’t do nothing.”

Shoblom wrote a separate report at Caballero’s request, stating she also heard Kirkpatrick yell and use the profanity.

What Caballero and Shoblom didn’t know was that Kirkpatrick was wearing glasses with a built-in video camera. The recorded video showed Kirkpatrick did not use profanity during the exchange.

“I am a man of integrity and I did not and DO NOT lie,” he wrote, questioning the “authenticity of the video” he had become aware of.

Shoblom, who has been notified she faces termination for dishonesty, also denied the allegations in a statement she presented at her June 23 meeting. She is white.

“This false accusation is both offensive and outrageous,” she wrote, asserting there was “no evidence” the video “is the original.”

Metro Transit spokesman Jeff Switzer confirmed Wednesday that Kirkpatrick was cleared of any wrongdoing stemming from the accusation, but said the incident prompted the agency to send a bulletin to all drivers clarifying they were not to wear personal body cameras while working. Metro is looking into further policy developments, he added.

With Seattle bus drivers it's not so much having to yield...more swerving out of way as they attempt to ram you off the road.

We need a bus drivers behaving badly thread.

Yep. If they're such decent, solid people then why do they tolerate the other cops who aren't? Fuck the police. Until "good" cops start ostracizing, outing, and standing up against brutality and murder within their own ranks, they're no better than the dirty ones.

^^^^ Totally agree. The po po have always sucked in my simple world. It is them against us. Just ask them.

    Joe Deters.

Prosecutor is a bulldog in a shitty situation and was just called out for being a "racist" after calling a group of ~30 black kids and adults "thugs" when they beat and attacked cops and one white guy within an inch of his life, on fountain square, on video, for no reason other than they were bored, and broadcast to the world moments later, two weeks ago.

I guess they forgot he applies the law equally today. Good on him for standing up to all the bullshit in advance of the grand jury indictment in this heinous killing. In Deters words, "asinine" and "purposeful killing".

Oh and it's a University of Cincinnati cop, not a Cincinnati cop. Big difference. One is there under a collaborative agreement with the US Justice dept to police the community. The other is there to raise revenue by writing tickets to students. And apparently kill people in unprovoked situations.

You'd think. My gf is the HR director for a city out here and she fired an aggro cop that was out of control. He went the next town over and got a job with no background check. Cities like to save money and will hire cops that have been through the extensive 4-6 month training even if they're shitty. She has to drive by him every day now to get to her job. Pretty awesome.
