Do it. I've got PSSes on the FR-S. Big improvement over OEM, but still a street tire for sure.

That is fucking crazy! Is that asking price reflective of the market for these things? Wow.

Really glad my family decided to keep their 996 Cab (01, 14k miles) as a beach car. Wait 10 more years... PROFIT!

I see Usher at the Whole Foods every now and then in his Carerra GT. Should I make him a lowball offer before the market goes completely batshit?

Ha! Obviously my eye was drawn to the car first every time. It took my wife to point out that the driver wasn't "that dude from American idol"

Carrera GT market is already nuts. Prices go up daily. Red, Yellow, or Black with low miles will be in the 1M range soon.

Well, shit. There goes my plan. His is Arctic Silver.

So is that 993T really representative of the market?

That one is a little high. One of the cheaper ones I have found is 156k w/ 50k miles http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...4311/overview/

Then there is this Turbo S for 559k. http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...1130/overview/

I've got a 87 930 Turbo with 32k miles on it. I am not even going to think about listing it for another year or so.

Doesn't look like any fun at all ...

The last two weeks have been car porn on the go. I've seen two Evoras, a 458, all sorts of crazy Ferraris and two of the sweetest sounding Panteras ever. There has also been a handful of E Types with one of the sharpest early ones (62 or 63) I've ever been in the presence of. NYC metro area is just poppin' with hot cars this year. And then today I was next to a beautiful '69 442 W30 4 speed and the guy driving complimented my car

There is something very likeable about that car!!! It's got an aggressive front end, yet with a certain understated elegance. Seductive. It whispers: "stop looking at me you silly bastard, and DRIVE ME!!"...... which in the vernacular of cars is the same as saying " fuck me!!"

Is it because after 40 years, Porsche went to a bigger, aluminum body?
Why the fuck is a used production car that much money? Is it the low miles?
    No longer stuck.

^^^^^They are rare, hence the price.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Old Porsches are hot right now. Anything air cooled. I could buy all the 993 Turbos I wanted at 60-70k 3 years ago. Hindsight is 20/20. I would've inked up on a 918, if I knew I could get a 1/4 million over MSRP.

It's a generational thing with classics. Lamborghini Diablos are going crazy. Countach.

The 60-70s muscle car market is about to take a dip, which is why large collections are being sold. That type of car buyer is going away.

That's what I wanted out of mine, but I jumped ship for 76 (68 msrp). Those are going to dip soon too. Factory is making them as fast as they can.
