Oh that they do! In spades!! Dem ON3P boys are on their shit. They would actually be a killer fit for for the Pole for real- the Full Tilt kids would slap mom's plastic down so fast that MasterCard would need a fkn base weld.

Big props to the ON3P guys for bringing the demo fleet out too, as I'm now in love with the 181 Kartel 98s.

Funny though- with how few people were actually on the hill they still probably sold 6 people just in our group on them. I know Mrs. DW has her eye on the 171 Jessie like whoa now.

As of yet, we don't have too many dealers out east. Closest would be Sports Page in Queensbury or the new Colorado Ski Shop location at Mt. Snow in West Dover. Map can be seen here - http://www.on3pskis.com/dealers/ (note that we are rebuilding our website right now, so only the map itself is current). That said, we're finally starting to focus on expanding our retail program out east, so you should see more dealers popping up in 16/17. If you have any solid dealers to suggest, let us know.

We definitely support spending local, which is why we're focusing more and more on retail (we also believe it really helps to be able to see and check out the skis in person), compared to being 100% direct for our first few years. That said, I also think it is important to support domestic production, and just figured I would point out that of all the brands you listed, only one does any production in the US, and it only represents a small % of the skis they sell. If you can spend local and support domestic production, seems like the best of both worlds to me.

I thought the demo was a blast. I wish I would have realized it wasn't going to be around all day (though given the circumstances I can't really blame them) as I would have switched up skis more and taken another run before lunch. I probably didn't really need to test the new Billy Goat's refrozen bump compliance... Still, it definitely made a day where I largely was goofing around on the same trails way more fun and I rode some nice skis. I was amazed how much my wife loved the Jessies. She isn't as big a gear whore as me, so it was fun to see her excited about something. Now she knows how I feel all the time...

Plus it was a good group to ski with.

Thanks for coming out! Our rep had a Easter dinner he had to make back in Connecticut, so he couldn't stay too long today. If it was busier he would have tried to stay a bit longer, but obviously a pretty slow day. That said, really glad we were able to make it back there and get you guys on some skis. We'll definitely be trying to get to Magic multiple times a season. Also great to hear your wife enjoyed the Jessie's. We're all really excited about the feedback we are getting on those skis.

One suggestion for next year: I think that the EC would be interested in the Steeple's, particularly the 102. It was the ski that I was most interested in trying and that was true of a friend as well. Places like Magic have an abnormally large amount of uphill traffic for a lift-served hill, so it might be a place to catch people interested in touring skis at a consolidated demo spot.

And while they really need no defense, I'll also chime in that as far as I can tell, ON3P does business as "right" as any company I've come across. They make their skis themselves in America. When I bought my BGs (which were demos even), they were responsive to their individual email accounts and were nothing but helpful. I've interacted a few times with different guys on forums and read a lot more of their interaction with others. I'm sure that they'd love to be carried in more shops in the East, but it comes time for me to spend my money to support businesses that I think do something "right" beyond provide a good product, all that stuff matters at least as much to me as if they are carried at a shop near my house.

IMO, the RES BG's kick the 2nd Gen BG's ass on groomers, so you aren't missing much leaving your BGs at home on hardpack days.

Thanks for the feedback on the Steeples. If you have other skis you think would be good to send out there with the demo fleet (both models & sizes) let us know. This fleet was cobbled together, so it was just a best guess of what would do well out there from the limited options we had. We ended up getting 12 demos done in about 6 weeks, so we're starting to get a better idea of what is needed out east in the future.

I'm not sure how often Colorado Ski shop (confusingly with branches in CT, MA, and near Mount Snow) demos ON3P skis, but they do carry them and do some demos in general. I'm sure they'd be happy to prep and mount the skis.

Well seeing Mrs. DW feel the fun on skis like she used to have on her board was pretty sick and that was a first. She already made up her mind and is getting a pair lol. All the girls were loving those skis for sure though, so it sounds like they are a total hit- better get working on a ladies' pow ski to compliment them!

I have to say though, I do love the smoothness of the RES though. Every aspect of their handling from freakin' skating over flats to SG turns down Tali, every angle you put them into they just make it feel smooth as butter but with so much power. Fkn love that shit. I felt very at home on them right away. Nice work!!

Already have a pow ski to compliment it - Jessie series come in an 86, 100, and 112 width! Stoked to hear Ashley wants to move forward with a pair. She already talked with me about getting something going for the Freeride team for next season as well, which would be great. Hopefully we can make something happen. It would be a great testing ground for our kids line coming out in 16/17.

As for the RES, still my favorite design to be on. I'm stoked to hear you are still liking it as well. The power of the ski still surprises me from time to time. The first time I ever skied the updated RES design was on a completely icy, terrible night at Ski Bowl and I was speechless how solid they felt, even in terrible conditions.

All I know is that the extra-loud and chattery lap Marcus and I took down black line was probably the most fun I had all weekend. It was exceptionally bad but rarely dangerous. Sure, I probably would've enjoyed skiing slush bumps on Friday had I been able to take the day off, but I think if we all had to rank our favorite snow conditions, refrozen mank and grass would be pretty high up on the list, no?

I wish I could have been there, but the gash in my tire's sidewall prevented any travel since getting it replaced on Easter Sunday was a non-starter. It will be good to go this morning and, barring any other unfortunate encounters in the pothole hell that is Schenectady, I'll be back next weekend.

So many different zones of pressure can be loaded and worked in different ways it's uncanny and helps you stay engaged in all kinds of shit. I was extremely impressed. I felt it in those BG tours I bought for sure but in the Kartels it just flat out unlocks doors. I never expected to enjoy a "park ski" that much. Not even close. Nice work man!

RES is Reverse Elliptical Sidecut - on the Billy Goat, Steeple 102 & 112, and Cease & Desist. Standard radius in the tail, then a reverse elliptical radius from boot center forward.

Prester, Filthy Rich, Kartel 98, and Kartel 106 have an elliptical bi-radius, so nothing reverse. Just a 2-radius elliptical sidecut.

Pretty different. Nonetheless, glad you liked those Kartels. They surprise a lot of people, considering they are a "park ski".

I think this was probably the last East Coast demo of the season. We talked with a few resorts about getting one going next Sunday, but the resorts we were talking to weren't too receptive this late in the year.

Well this weekend calls for "brilliant sunshine" for Sunday and temps right around 60 & sunny. I'd say things are on point for a sunshine corner shindig like never before. Who's going to be there?? I know some have packed up for the year but I can't wait for an actual hot spring day to ski some slushy bumps in my shorts.
