Moral crusader personally attacks member for pages for that member admitting that despite his vastly superior experience to moral crusader, he is in a fact human.

Self-righteous crusader then says oops my bad but is too chickenshit to put it up for all to see.

Judgemental asshole auTTTo admit then continues the same behavior.

    Yeah Pio, we got it.

Stubborn as an ass and just as good looking. That's you pal.

You guys make that for a .44 Ruger Super Blackhawk ? Mine has a super short barrel, 3.75 inch TALO Edition, but it looks like any length will work with your setup.

Harry - shot you a pm. We are building all the revolvers around a 5" barrel, anything longer hangs out.

Pio has set a new bar for his self-righteous, hypocritical finger pointing. It's almost becoming Creaky-like. Hey, didn't you guys both go to law school? The same one? Is there some Argue Like a Politician with No Shame class? Unreal, dude.

The inevitability of accidents is why guns should be registered, ownership and use licensed, and both insured. But "gun stokers" are opposed to all those things, despite accidents like Leavenworth's.

nice write up on soldiersystems for leavenworthskier's new holster, which got me to look at their site. How much and lead time for a Wraith to match an M&P 45c?

Dude we were so stoked!!!! That was purely organic, didn't send any PR or anything. The amount of tactical fanbois emailing me is a bit overwhelming...

We are about 1.5-2 weeks out on holsters. shoot me an email and lets discuss further.

I am sure I will get some interesting comments about this, but received my new 1911. Have not got out to shoot it yet, but it looks great. Sorry for the quality of pictures...I am not great with in close pictures and only have my cell phone. It came out really great and the pictures don't do it justice, especially the finish. I am really impressed with the machine work on it. Super clean and the lines are all perfect. The checkering on the slide and grip frame are particularly interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a gun where the checkering is literally perfect and every line is perfectly straight and every square is perfectly the same size. Mine does not have their highest level of polishing, but is very smooth and the bluing is extremely rich. On to the porn...

I'm not a 1911 guy but that gun is beautiful. Love the checkered cocking serrations. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that thing set you back for?

Their pricing is on their website, it just depend on what options you add.

I have a Volkmann with flawless checkering and I've seen some nice jobs on guns as low as $1500 but cabot's are $$$. I'm going to say $6000 for yours?

I never really got the stars but to each their own, Cabot makes a sweet clear case if you have the cash.

There are so many nice 1911s out there, and they all will shoot and shoot well. Cool that Volkmann is out here in Colorado, I will have to check them out. I do wish I would of got the barrel jeweled on mine, but I can always take it somewhere to have that done...maybe Volkmann ;-) Or send just the barrel back to Cabot. My father has worked at the parent Company of Cabot for over three decades, and I worked there a little in the summers during high school/college, so I know a lot of the guys there...means a little more to me I guess then just picking one of the many great custom 1911 makers.

It will be a cool heirloom to pass down with a good story about pops I think.

I love .308. Yeah, I said it. I have so much fun shooting my .308 that I just bought a .308 Tikka T3 Light for mountain hunting. Now I've got two--the .300WM for elk (should I ever actually draw another rifle tag) and the .308 for mullies.

    I feel better now.

.308 is great. Can't think of any other caliber that is so versatile. Varmints? Yep - 110gr VMAX. Plinking? Wolf/Tula/Silver Bear 147 gr. Total breakdown of the world? Lake City/Federal Bulk Cases of ammo are affordable. Long Range Target? 168 and 175 gr SMK/Berger VLD. Any other game animal in North America? hundreds of soft point, ballistic tip and hollowpoint bullets from 100 - 250 gr to choose from. (oh, plus if you have a .300 win mag or .300 blackout you can load with the same bullets.)

The only .308 I have right now is a FAL, but I hope to get a bolt-action .308 eventually.

My FAL: (Actually a L1A1 century arms build.)

308 is a great round...but probably need to bring a little more heat for bear and elk...

Inside 150 yards with a good heavy for caliber bonded bullet it'll surely do the job. .308 isn't that far from 30.06 at those ranges. Think of all the elk, moose and bear taken with 30-30 or 6.5 x 55 back in the old days. Or even 38-40 or 44-40.

I like the straps and the placement but my 7.5" super blackhawk would stick a long way out. Any chance of a more full coverage option?

It's all about shot placement. That said I've seen bears walk through 12+ rounds of .338 and .375 H&H. I think the .375 H&H is about the most versatile thing out there, at least for AK. That said I don't shoot squirrels.

Something tells me a .375 would have been overkill.
