This is the Evo Colab topsheet. Pretty cool there are several top sheet options on the same ski.

Quick one guys ... Anyone have any experience on a Jeffrey 114 186 and a Nordica Helldorado 186 that can weigh in on the relative playfulness of the Jeffrey? Currently running the 186 Helldos (fall line ski mounted on recommended) and 187 Praxis Protests (icy groomers mounted on dimple) and am looking for a jibby everyday resort(/powder) ski. Helldos are all time but on the heavy side to be popping around making party all day and they will get offended if I buy their replacement ...

Reckon I can get away with a 181 in the Jeffrey given quiver and preference for more of a jibby ski? Don't have any experience on 100mm+ rockered skis at that length ... If so, it will double up as a powder ski for my smaller old man. I am 5'9 / 180lbs

Any input, much appreciated. Cheers guys

    Actually, stupid question about construction:
Most (at least, high quality) wood core skis have the camber, or even the rocker(?), milled out of the wood. Uses more wood, but the camber can never fall because the wood is actually cut in the shape.
How does that work with bamboo?
    No longer stuck.

Yes, on the line. I mean that the particular sidecut/rocker profile of that ski is great on the recommended line and up to -1cm back. Any more than that back or forward and the ski starts to act in a manner it is not supposed to.

Some of our skis you can get away with going larger margins, but the Wrens and any ski with RES (BG, Steeple, Cease and Desist) will slap you in the taint and spit in your mother's eye if you mount them anywhere but on the recommended line. Honest, I have seen it happen.

New demo schedule will be out soon. And yes, we will try to get a demo at Copper. As for Vail resorts, the only one I will consider demoing at is A-Basin if that will work for you...and for them.

For the previous posts in regards to past demo skis and their mounting positions...I am not sure what may have happened to some, but you can never go wrong with the midsole mark/dimple on the ski. Marker bindings are a finicky bitch to begin with, so when I am setting people up on demos here in Colorado I use the BSL marks as a guideline, but make sure the boot is lined up perfectly over the midsole after adjusting FWD pressure. That is the best way to ensure you are on the correct spot on the ski.

FWIW, we are dropping Marker as demo bindings for this upcoming season and fleet. The new Attack demos are lighter, easier to adjust, and more cost effective. Triple win!

Also, heel piece doesn't wear down as much, the numbers don't wear off, has adjustable toe height, and feels a bit lower to the ski. We're pretty happy with the change.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Yep. You should probably never ski them. I personally stick to Ramp skis, made by real professionals with a real love for the POW!

Are you sure about this? I am not sure this is true. The whole flip core malarkey was they milled the underside of the core not the upper, but I have never heard about the camber being milled into the ski. Pretty sure the camber comes from the press for all skis. Milling a camber into the core would be a pretty intense manufacturing task.

Just as a data point, my bsl is 306 so slightly on the smaller end and I am 155lbs. 191 RES BG skis great for me from 0 to +1. Settled on them at +0.6, I have a fetish for marker demo bindings so I can tinker with mount all day.

Just got a pair of these myself. Quick point on old boots, as in my 10 plus year old sollys what a heel sole height that is probably below minimum. The attacks won't hold them without loads of play in angle hold, like I have to angle the boot over 5-10 degrees before the ski starts to angle. Just something to watch out for, marker demos handle this fine.

Also. Hit me up if you have some nice pairs of marker demos to shift

Volkl does mill the camber/rocker into their cores (at least for the low reverse camber freeride skis like the Gotama, Shiro, etc.) However, they are the only ones that I am aware of doing this.

The entire camber/rocker comes from the milling? I still can't believe this, the material waste would be immense. I can accept they do it to some degree, but some HAS to come from the press.

I guess if they use a cheap as shit core it maybe doesn't matter. Still, the machine time would rocket. Nope, not buying it.

Supposedly, yes. Minus the tip and tail spacers, of course. It's not like I've been to the factory though, just going off what I have been told.

it was a legitimate question. i want to hear what happened with the melodrama last season with the guy whose wife's skis delaminated in a strip or something getting caught on her pant leg. i thought this was a forum, not a commercial. it's not my fault that their topsheets suck. and now they clash with my new orange cartels. and in all fairness, i'm a sick bored "cunt" as you say, not just a bored "cunt," as you say.

    looooook into my eyyyyyezzzzzzzzzzzz
