Expanding my life from mostly metal-head loving the bay area thrash scene to tuning in more and more to Live105 and all that jazz. If I realized how big this show would be looking back, maybe I would not got as blindly fubared as I did. I remember Eddie diving into the crowd, but most other parts are pretty damn missing.

I saw Soundgarden open for Faith No More at the I-Beam in SF in '89 if I remember right.
I remember going to house parties at Primus' road manager's house and they played in the backyard.
Day on the Green with Metallica, Faith No More and Soundgarden.
Too many more good shows from that era.
Yes! Metallica, Metallica... The black album.
Sure it's not Ride the Lightning or MoP but damn that was a good album to grow up with.
I still call it The Jake.
I was a huge Blur fan. So thickly British and tons of power. Speaking of loud shows, my ears are still ringing from a show at a shitty little club in Cleveland in 91.
You may know (1997) ...
While I'm at it.

Seem to recall seeing Cake at Old Ironsides in Sacto.
Melvins and the Beat Farmers at the Cactus in SJ, not on the same bill.
Vaguely remember Murphy's Law opening for the Ramones at the Warfield?
I know, not all '90s bands but shows from the early '90s.
The first Lollapooza at Shoreline.
Limbomanics with Dread Zeppelin at the Cactus
Wonder what club it was? Agora Ballroom? Theatre? Cleveland had a ton of fantastic small venues during the 90s (and 60s, 70s and 80s too but that's an aside)
Got thinking after hearing a blurb on the iPod shuffle tonight: Blues Traveler.
I listened to the shit out of Travelers and Thieves during the 90s. Good stuff.
I still call it The Jake.
It was a shitty little bar upstairs in a building on Sumnar Ave right next to the stadium. Just looked on google maps and it looks like they tore the bldg down (for good reason).
The Agora brings back good memories. Smashing Pumpkins, PIL, etc. Great place. Is it still around?

One year shy of 20 is Dr. Octagonecologyst
Yeah it is. (I had to google since I haven't been there since the 90s). Man, that place rocked. Saw so many great shows there. I always knew it was iconic, but had no idea how iconic. Kinda like Swingo's.
Didn't know the Agora was home to world famous rock station WMMS for a while either. Pretty cool.
