    The beginner handle tow is up and running this weekend. Inspected, groomed out and ready to spin. That new cutover above the learning area is also to give an alternative route around the existing learning area other than buzzing the shack and nearly killing sledding children. It would be nice if they could groom that out but as I understand it the west side option is the current priority.

    Rabbit Run may be closer than you guys think though.

    Also Magic may have a nice big fat surprise up their sleeve too that you guys will like.

    Food for thought. Keep your chins up amigos, snow is coming Monday (my cough is already developing)

    To be clear, I have purchased lift tickets and grabbed the tow rope as well as ridden the red and black chair over the years!

    Clearly I'm committed to all sorts of policies at Magic. I'll be committed to pints and wings at the BLT tonight!

    I told my boss last month that I have projects the first week of January and February that I will make sure are complete. Other then that, if it snows do not expect me to be in.

    I'll remind him today.

    Cristal could maybe give him a ride if you needed.

    I'll be out once I can lose the torch gear and make a trip to Ludlow & back. Look for my better half and her friend though!

    Also heads up on the pod of beluga whales on upper trick holy shit that's gonna be fun.

    Forecast keeps improving for us too- at this rate Monday is going to be a huge day!!

    Just want to post this and then I'll head over.

    Yesterday was a hudge surprise. Snow squalls all day and nobody here. I did not duck any ropes, I just skied over them as they were on the ground. Up Your Sleeve, Medium, LMC and Kinderspiel all skied fantastic. 3-4" of nice light snow on top of bulletproof. Definitely had to stay off the edges and that's why we didn't go west.

    From the NWS in Albania:
    * LOCATIONS...SOUTHERN GREENS.

    * HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

    * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...7 INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW POSSIBLE.

    * MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATES...UP TO AN INCH PER HOUR.

    * TIMING...RAIN WILL TURN TO SNOW SUNDAY NIGHT ACROSS THE
    SOUTHERN GREENS...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES. THE SNOW WILL TAPER
    TO SNOW SHOWERS ON MONDAY...ENDING AROUND MIDDAY.

    And this...

    Here is a 4pm update I stole from the ECRC thread.

    Magic still in the bullseye. Not sure how the weather channel is not seeing this. Need to turn that trash off in the BLT.

    TWC sucks balls.

    NOAA is usually very close with their predictions, looks pretty good across the board as of now.

    Why does the snow report show 0.5" of accumulation for yesterday?

    The stoke reported here vs. the mediocre (and often slow to update) snow report page makes it difficult to make a decision as to where to drive in the morning.

    ^ The 3-4" was from earlier in the week. There wasn't much accumulation from the squalls on Friday. Just got back from a pre-opening skin lap. Upper Trick is now open and Travis was grooming the upper part of Up Your Sleeve as well as the bailout to Sunshine Corner. There's a race today so Showoff will likely be closed most of the day.

    People were telling me Rt 11. was closed for a while? I made it as far as Forest Mtn Rd @ 2:30 and 11 was fine, but there was a 2 mile long conga line in the opposite direction behind a plow.

    Hope the temps dip soon. The east side was skiing really well this weekend. A couple inches of manky slop would be nice.

    Any eyewitness reports on what kind of precip is falling from the sky right now? What will 3-5" of glop do for the hill? Make the west side skiable? Woods? Debating using up a hall pass tomorrow and taking a ride up...

    Snowing across the road from magic now, has been for ~3 hrs now. Not sure what accumulation is since I went to Jay and back today with the freeride team and I'm too tired to go outside. 3-5" might not open the west side but it'll make tomorrow super fun

    An inch of slop on the car now, snowing two hours ahead of time, maybe it will be good

    It was snowing up top at last chair. Hopefully, this will keep up & we will see some fresh wet snow tomorrow! Temps seems to be holding... Fingers crossed!
