Good ro hear on th3 snowmaking front, get it cover3d and smooth for Friday night and a few inches will be sweet.

Maybe coming up Saturday. GF was against it today, she wanted K-ton. We comprimis3d at Pico, good thing as my boots need a little punch/grind work after 3 runs and the shop I bought them at is up the street.

Magic's video snow report today nicely balances Doworkian optimism/Rutekian reality. "We're skiing on TEN trails!!" "Our terrain park currently has ONE feature with more on the way!" The Magic Mountain Weather Center is classic. Good job guys.

I repeated something that was being openly discussed and that was mentioned in a mass email sent to dozens of families. It wasn't a fucking secret and wasn't 'in confidence,' regardless of your speculation.

You're the one making it something it isn't and wasn't (not to mention a big deal, which it obviously isn't to anyone but you). Get over it.

And as Peruvian said, most importantly the fears weren't realized--and regardless of tomorrow's weather we should be in better shape going forward.

It may not have been perfect, and the turns may have been made at 5-10mph, but god damn they were soft! I hope Ullr will be pleased.

Crampons are currently required to make it up the stairs to the porch...seriously, be careful--they're coated with about 1/4" of pure ice.

Walked across the bottom of the hill and it's nice and soft where the groomer was...the rest, well, I guess we can just say it will form an exceptionally solid base (not sure if that meets the DW standard of what is permissible for public consumption, but it is what it is right now).

Rain is fairly light, so it could be worth a run or two today.

Watching the radar, looks like the vast majority of r*** (maybe all of it) will move south of Magic. The northern moisture looks to be well north of Magic. I'll be out around 10 if anyone is around.
