Apparently Heavenly ski resort does not like bikes on the slope

Better to watch in HD cause of the speed-ed up video at the end

Little change up for me, been on the Holy Rolly Ds for almost two years now. Marge lites should be a bit better for overall trail riding, not a big fan of Nate as a front tire but will let it go for now. Thinking about doing that orangepeel tubeless thing eventually.

wot don't you like about nate up front? 65's are way better for trail riding than 80's imo. and wot little bit of snow i've ridden, the 65's did just fine with the 3.8's.

still running lite tubes with great results. i do like the clown shoe rim strip for marge lite toobless conversion tho. me likes easy.

My Hodus just feel more supple and smoothy versus rumbly bumbly. I totally dig the Nate as a rear tire run backazzwards.

Hows the kiddo and daddyhood treating you?

kiddo's great, mama's great, daddy's great, daddyhood roolz, thank you. headed out for another snow ride in 15 minutes. fucking snow on da coast is fucking glacial. still 3" in the front yard even tho it's hot out since yesterday.

about tires, the nates sure are grippers, but man do ya feel it. hudu's seem a great all rounder. lite, grippy, and roll well. my knards did great in the snow the other day for such a fast rolling tire.

I'm right and you are wrong...Nothing funny about that.

What have you ridden? It was night and day over the Pugs I have ridden. Like I said maybe 20 or so snow rides and a few dirts rides with the handful of bikes I have tried.

Started at 11 psi, dropped to 10 for return ride. I can see running 9 or 8 psi. Definitely have to flip the rear tire around, wet trail with roots and rocks had sum slippage but not too bad. Stock air settings feel all right, will play with that after tire experimentation.

    Bike exceeded all expectations.

ETA, this one goes to eleven.

Dang it, I am out of shape.

the rog just got his 65's this summer, so only a lil bit of snow has been ridden on those. all previous snow riding was done with 80's. the rog has ridden a lot of snow. iditabike? pffft. endurance races are for guys that can't go hard.

Initial impression is totally worth the wait. My work schedule and weather precludes me from getting out on it until Friday(which sounds like rain)

It feels like my Stumpy, light and nimble. The Pugs may be up for sale in the future.

Rode the Blizzard in snow for the first time last night! Awesome bike... Glad I waited for it. We have a lot of snow and cold temps so not much has been packed but we got 5 km on trail and 11 km on road / double track.
Love the geo on this as well and it was way quicker than the ICT which I thought was fairly maneuverable. Put a bit less than reccomended in the Bluto and still only used less than half the travel. Dont really think its neccesary for most of my riding. In the spring when things melt / freeze more and everything is hiked and well beaten I'm sure I will change my tune. If I could find a 150 mm fork besides surly I would have taken the Bluto off and waited till spring. Poor me...

I have come to the conclusion that if the temps are above freezing, Id rather be doing something else. Anyone else?

I like skiing and any day off is pretty much taken up by that. Fatbiking is a night time post ski kind of activity. Even after a couple post ski beers its fun to jump on the ol fatty and have a go... (then go fatbiking

I've been on everything Surly and Salsa, took a quick spin on the RM and the Kona and I have a Farley and a Fatboy. My choice for an everyday ride is the Fatboy but I really do think that I want a full squish something or other for next year. I loved the Bucksaw but want the ability to run a bigger tire in the rear so beach riding is more fun and less like work.

Don't go having too much fun with that thing now ya hear My experience was lower pressures than suggested suited me better.

Yup. What little time I spent with the Bluto I thought the same thing. I dropped it nearly 20 psi from what the SRAM and Salsa tech guys set me up with before I felt like I was getting most of what it had to offer.

I like mine. They're not as big as Bud/Lou, but the tread is really burly and behaves well in snow. Or anything else, so long as you don't mind rolling slowly.

Plus they're cheap and you can get them in hot pink, popsicle green, creamsicle orange, and white. What's not to like?

Thanks - all I want my fatbike for is snow riding, and the Vee Mission tires on there now are terrible in snow.

    Cheap tires = good.

No pictures yet, but a few weeks ago, I popped for the Rocky Mountain Blizzard with the Bluto fork. Dear lord that thing is fun! There's nothing quite like riding in a full on nukeage snowstorm.

I went tubeless after steamrolling some prickers and turning my tubes into Swiss cheese.

Riding bikes is always fun, but this is like being a kid again.
