Hey Reno mags I could use a favor. Does anyone have a couch for me to crash on Sunday night after the Mammoth mini? I have 6:30 AM flight Monday morning out of RNO and only need a couch for like 6 hours. I have a sleeping bag too.

if nothing works out in maggot land, it looks like you can currently book a room at the grand sierra resort for $44.

it's actually a pretty nice place to stay since they renovated it... and it's easy to get a free shuttle to the airport in the morning.
    Still waiting...

Is that this weekend? I can accommodate, if you don't mind dealing with an 4 and 8 yo and 1 yo Rottie. The kids go to sleep around 8:30 tho.

Sounds like you're set up already, but if not, shoot me a PM. We've got space, but not very close to the airport - probably 20-25 min.

Alpine next weekend, Mammoth, the backcountry, and various places you can fly to.

Mammoth is doing waaaaaaay better than Alpine. Chairs 1, 2, 3 and 23 are providing the goods. Where else can you fly to? Whistler, sure. Is Snowbird done yet? What about Baker/Alpental/Stevens/Crystal?

No surprise. It's 1,500-2,500 feet higher. Which mattered even more than normal this year.

Colorado. Oregon. Or drive to Oregon.

A-Basin is riding great right now, too (been out here since 4/30). They have a ton of snow and are expecting some more later this week. Temps have been keeping the snow intact, with boilerplate in the a.m. and sweet corn in the afternoon.

Unofficially have heard that closing day tentatively is June 4th...

You may need to stay out there to keep the patch skiing string running this season.

Yep. I have several projects going on at the top, so I end up doing the traffic shuffle at least once a day. It was sorely needed, though, and they are doing a good job so far. Closing the E side has reduced traffic so that the wait times are rarely more than 5 minutes.
