Anybody know of any good ski leases at the base of K Wood that need some members?

Looking for a new ski lease up there. I know it's slim pickins but seeing what's out there. Switching from Alpine Meadows access road to something snowier and good access to Carson Pass. Checking snow pals too thought might try here.

Nice. We need water. We had rain down in SC on Monday for about 45 minutes. Not fog drizzle. Actual rain. I think this week's air mass has got some moisture in it.

Vets and I subscribe to the 10 turns (regardless of how they are obtained) = a ski day.

So, technically speaking, skiing 10 one-turn patches would count...

Could you ski a 1/2 turn patch 20 times?

    isn't a 1/2 turn just straight-lining?

    ^ Thanks TahoeBC.
I'm thinking about heading up there on Wednesday before it is all gone. From your picture only the Method Man Patch looks somewhat reasonably skiable. East Bowl might contain some hidden patches not seen in your picture. I'm more likely to head to the October Patch just past Roundtop Lake (not seen in your picture.)

^ TahoeBC, thanks again. That looks like the October Patch on the far right above the colorful flowers. It should be plan A on Wednesday.

Paul Thorn at Squaw Bluesday this Tuesday 6-8:30 in the Village. Heard him down in Sac Friday, going to see him again at Squaw. He's a kick --great voice and he once fought Roberto Duran on TV. (lost-- 6th round tko)

At Donner Lake we a big rain a couple of weeks ago, heavy rain twice last week, a couple of sprinkles, and a lot of clouds. Yesterday was the first day in a week that didn't threaten thunder storms. Looks like the monsoon returns next week.

The mtb trails must be amazing up there right now. The north bay has been bone dry - all of the dirt has been pulverized into a fine powder and everything is carved out to hell.
