^^^ I am so curious why the issue is with the county. Did ya piss off the wrong sheriff?

Did you give up on Rose? Seems like a perfectly good hill, although SB does seem to offer a tad bit more in terms of terrain and a good bit more in terms of snow fall. But seems that Rose has better terrain for dust on crust conditions and ala last season. But about that cop you fucked over...

I drove up 88 last weekend, and I saw crews installing new lines in the ground. An MTB partner that day, who works on the El Dorado NF, said that this is the new electricity for Kirkwood, and that Kirkwood will be off the diesel generators before the season starts. Can anyone confirm?

They have been at it all summer. I heard the grid sourced power is just for the homeowners (easier to sell real estate with a stable, cheaper source of power right?) and the lifts will still be rolling on recycled dinosaur.

Why would you install a $20M+ powerline to the Kirkwood Valley and then not allow the single biggest user of electricity in the valley to buy power from it?

shows coming to Berkeley, sf and Reno
    highly recommended!

I won one of their older flicks in the raffle and plan on having a showing here once I figure out how to hook up the computer to the old giant tv in the clubhouse...

^ This mag was at the Truckee showing tonight. No prizes won except for free beers and a TSE shirt handed to me pre-raffle. It was my favorite flick from the last few years...easily. Highly reccommend checking it out.

Shitty post on my part. I wasn't entirely clear. My initial post was a rumor I heard for this season only and the entire mountain would be on the grid next year. Looks like no juice for anyone soon based on that link.

Ah that makes sense. Lots of rumor out there. With reliable power, I may be ready to migrate back to Kirkwood. Squaw/Alpine is getting expensive and even more crowded, and that Kirkwood/CP terrain is oh so good.

Alright, let me repeat my question -- somebody ought to know the answer!

Who is the (female) skier on the Squaw season pass? Click the link below for a photo:

My friend finished writing and designing a comprehensive online ski touring guide for the basin and he just got his new site up and running and its AWESOME!!! Its the best tahoe backcountry resource ive seen. Skitahoebackcountry.com. check it out and please like it on facebook as well. I dont think hes trying to make any money off this yet but if anyone on here has ideas for him to sell server space (i have no clue how that whole world works) it would also be awesome to help support the upkeep and additions to the site. Sorry for anyone who thinks this is spam i just wanted to share this awesome new resource with ya

Well, please take a breath while I nitpick.
It would have been nice if you'd included a linky to the site, donchathink?
And, it is SPAM, so why not just put that in a title?

I hope there is some advice for using Trekkers on there is all...
