At least the sunset made the prospect of having to wash the mud off the fat bitch twice in the same day acceptable.

A few pics from the new bikepark in Serfaus, Austria. Although still lacking a real DH trail, what they've built so far is very impressive. Very well made and a big investment from the looks of it.

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Freeride descent from the top of Standard Peak. This is an old trail that was recently cleared, adding about another 10 kilometres (each way) to the classic Keystone-Standard Basin trail. It's a must do for those who like alpine epics.

Will have to check that one out in a couple weeks Alex. I've been riding around San Diego and the OC the last couple weeks...can't wait to get back to our riding, although difficult to drag myself away from the beach

I've looked at Google Earth a few times to see if that link up is possible but I don't think it is without doing a few huge climbs. One possibility could be a link up with the old Kelly Burke/Carnes Creek trail that's marked in the backroads map book - if that trail is even still there anymore.

man Revelstoke is fast becoming the alpine single track meca! Lots of room for more trail on Frisby ridge also.

Last week I was up between idaho and montana. Not really designed for riding and we had to hike/climb over/down a good amount of stuff, but it was scenic and there were some fun parts to ride.

ya does look like a bit of a stretch. tons of creeks in between. that Kelly Burke/Carnes Creek would be a nice vertical drop to finish. hard to say what kind of micro terrain is on that trail(a fair bit of distance without a lot of vert drop). Belcher ridge to Pass pk aims for it. crazy enough they've added 10km way up there now

Whereabouts? Looks nice, I'll be heading to Montana from Boise soon, looking for places to ride/camp along the way.

Here's a couple from the GoPro from Sun Valley a couple weeks ago.

Aaahh... The beauty of riding the unkemp wild tracks behind home: come out of a blind corner and find this trunk fallen right accross the track. To high to jump over to low to duck under... Managed to stop just inches before collision!
