More than a little erosion, grace of wildfires a few years ago. Some trails are lost, but many areas are starting to come back.

My t2i went over a waterfall early in my trip so here are some iphone shots I got in Moab when I had the chance. Again, dont hate on the poor quality and lack of trying on the photos.

3 days in the saddle... you know my body hurt! It being summer, I took off my shirt, and I tried to wash away some of that dusty dirt!

    water taxi to funtown

requesting permission to land, Lorna tower!

see ya in 3 days, have a good one!

    catch me some dinner

    off to never, never land

    this shit does exist

like doing a wall dive in SCUBA... you want to keep going down, but know it could be the end of you if you did.

Chilcotin is native for "push bike uphill"

there's gold in them thar hills

riding down into prime grizzly bear habitat with a head wind is always a good time

fully expecting a big brown head to pop up at any moment adds a little spice to the ride

stoke level is running "high" around the camp fire after day 1

see Dave, we rode up from way the fuck over there

start of Day 2. Lorna to Spruce Lake via Deer pass. almost 8 hrs in the saddle.

what goes up must come down

    downhill riding is tiring!

    screeriding is the new freeriding

I belted out a few lines from the sound of music riding down this one

    same here

stoke level after day 2 and 65k of singletrack in one day!

the start on another busy day for Tyax air at Spruce lake where most folks start from, but day 3 for us. Paul getting shit done!

buddy broke his tow and had to carry his bike up rather than push it! only one way out in the Chilcotin!

    windy pass

taking the bikes for a hike

I will let the pictures do the talking

    more screeriding

    Charles Bronson

obligatory gay alpine meadows blooming flower shot. summer riding at it's finest.

Dr. Gnarly leading a dual life

    cowboy country

    heading back down to civilization

the best single track you will probably never ride

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature... Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

    Talking

Connected two spots together, with a touch of pavement. Pleasant surprise was finding a hugely long stretch of these guys along the roadway.
I ate a lot of 'em.

    Did he make it?

My in-laws are only a few minutes from Bradbury State Park, in Maine. Finally managed to bring a bike up when visiting.

Pops, I seriously did not like the long drive up there.

Blue Mtn. tomorrow, Diablow Sunday, Trumbull on Monday, the local bit on Tuesday.
Of all the places to break your G2 guide. Meh. No, not mine - found piece.

Sorta' local, good flavor, not expensive, quite portable.

The infamous "east coast rawks" here. Yet, I managed to survive on a low bb, and non-large wheeled bike.

This fork feels good. Really good. 15mm nay-sayers: don't sweat it, unless you have to buy a new hub/wheel. It's pretty freakin' stiff. As in, feels stiffer than the Lyrik it replaced.

My favorite local spot - can pedal to in twenty minutes. Anything from an hour quicky, or enough trail and areas that connect to be out near all day.

    I need a winch.

Well, its a parking lot pic, but I'm fuckin stoked. This was my 1st trail ride since I fucked up my hand bout 5 years ago riding bikes. Easy up and down with my chick, still found some fun corners and I'm happy to report riding still feels natural.

And I dunno if y'all can tell but I have both brakes and the shifter on the left side, cause the right hand don't work, first day out with this setup and everything feels pretty dialed so thats a success.

^Awesome! I saw a helmet cam vid of a guy who injured a nerve and couldn't use an arm riding Champery, something I struggle with at the best of times, it amazed me. Really impressed by you getting back out there too!

Had a great day at Mt. Creek yesterday. Ran into one mag, and his name completely escapes me at the moment.

    Judged.

Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

Fuck yeah...good to see some creek stoke on here. Hoping I'll be cleared before they shut down.

Did you ride alpine since they redid the top section? I've been hearing good things.

As for rentals Ant in the shop is the man and rips.

Yeah, but it wasn't all the way done yet - no biggy to me though, as I prefer the chunkier stuff anyhow.

No worries on rentals - I'm rolling my own anyhow.

    Otherwise:

Through the pass at 8K. Note optional spur to the summit at 9K. It was tough to pass on it but time didn't allow.

The only pic I managed to stop for on the stellar 8 mile, 4,500 ft descent. The pic doesn't do the exposure justice.
