Firm and scratchy, do-able but probably not fun. There's lot better snow in sunny aspects.

This is from today. Looks like it goes, but I've never had the chance to ski it myself...

Raining off and on in the basin. A bit of snow on top of Sonora to mess up the corn cycle.

The few new inches predicted could smooth out the snomo tracks.

Drove by Rose at about 8 a.m. and there looked to be about 2-3" of sludgy, wet snow on the ground between 8500' and 8900'.

I keep checking the DOT webcams, looks like a gloomy rainy day all around Tahoe.
    Good fishing weather?

NOAA 'Special Weather Statement' says it's possible for up to a foot above 7k, care to agree/disagree with this assessment? How is it riding? Fast/Slow/Gloppy?

Hell, I can't be any more wrong than these weather forecaster bozo's calling for 80% chance when its been raining all day. Why not, a foot sounds good to me. Snow was slow and gloppy. Perfect for a snowboard or your widest pow skis.

Well, at least it'll smooth out the suncups It was raining all morning and afternoon, but the drizzle seems to have mostly-sorta stopped here in SLT.

    Squaw pass deadline?

What happens if you buy your pass two days from now? Does it cost more or do you just lose the buddy passes?

It gets more expensive. At least that's what happened last year.

Anybody get up on Rose today?? If so, what's the word?

If its not total velcro (which I have a feeling it is), I'm going to head up for some happy hour turns.

I know.. Wrong Forum blah blah blah... I'm dropping some weight off my current quiver and if anyone wants a complete AT set up (K2 obsethed, Baron's and BD Skins) Marker Tour F12's or a pair of old school pocket rockets take a look at what I posted on gear trade please. Price Police feel free to put your .02 cents in. I live in SLT so to find a local buyer would be great. Thanks..
