bubble cuffer ext to bubble cuffer, winter's ext to winter's, gondi ext to gondi, absolute classics and more sustained for longer than an other hill in the ne. nice to get em right off the summit in pow or corn.

only pitch that come close on george is when you push off the summit right down to the runout of ammo, but even that doesn't compare due to the upper 3rd being much lower angle.

Winter's is especially good when you're gliding up to it as the rope drops with three feet of fresh snow From what I understand this storm was unusual for the Loaf for any number of reasons, most notably the absence of wind. Hasn't been a breeze in the two days we've been here (that may change tomorrow) so the snow fell straight down and covered the trails wall to wall. Have been hoping to make this trek for more than thirty years and it's been so much better than advertised. The new snow helps, sure, but this is a big, burly mountain that every EC skier should experience. Can I use cut and paste to copy this post on Alpine Zone?

too funny Bottleman, rode the lift with you twice today, reading the last few pages of this thread reminds me of our chat about people today My buddy showed you the cut from choker to get back to the Skyline lift. Come back soon, you Mad River folks are good luck.

Sugarloaf was sick! Knee to thigh deep all day. Numerous pitches of untracked. Not the lightest snow on earth but legit deep powder day! Been a long time since I had one of those!
Thanks to ticket checker for the grand tour and for finding the fresh! Special thanks for the run before lunch. We traversed out to Haulback and hit it just before lunch and found it almost completely untracked - left and right sides went the whole way! Incredible! Best run of the day.

First day on my Lotus 120's - FKNA. Best powder ski I have ever skied. Game changer for me and an incredible experience
Lost power and the whole mountain shut down. Lifts stop and we got stuck in the middle of Skyline. Not going to confirm the fact that some jumped but if they did it saved a good half hour wait!
The Loaf delivered. Well worth the trip! More to come this weekend! If the Loaf gets this next storm it is all open after that! Looks like mid winter up there! Game on.

Thats awesome you guys are having such a great trip! Picked the right time for sure. I would really like to ski the loaf on a deep day like that. I have only skied it in Corn a long time ago.

Just got back from 2 days at Sugarloaf, my first time up there and it was fkna awesome. Sorry for the massive pictures. Crowds were very minimal, Wednesday the power was out for most of the morning and they only had two lifts running. Still plenty out there!!!

No real basis for comparison but it was basically a ski right onto the lift day so it seemed pretty empty to me. I'm sure that there's still untracked lines if you know where to look but the trails are skiing so phenomenally well (not a slick spot in sight) I didn't go hunting. Seems like a longshot to me but there was lots of chatter about the possibility of opening the snowfields tomorrow. That would not suck.
