You can see snow on the East Frisco cotrip.org cam. Latest rapid refresh model showing winds shifting more west in the next few hours with lingering moisture. Pray Ullr is feeling generous like he was with Winter Park last weekend.

Just got back from wolf creek. Snowed consistently the whole day and had a couple hours of ridiculous wind and snow. It was coming down HARD when I left at 3:30. The roads were incredibly bad. Watched a 18 wheeler jack knife directly in front of me. Be carful out there if you're driving around the San Juans.

Copper snow stake shows about 2", which is what was expected. 3-5" tonight? We'll see.

Telluride didnt get anywhere near the NOAA prediction of 7-11" today. We may have gotten 3" in town tops. Its coming down lightly now as it has most of the day. We need it bad. Wolf Creek reports 15" and Silverton reports 7".
We'll see what the night brings.

2" overnight should be a enough to fluff the pillow on rose bowl. Gonna make a rare appearance at the beav this am. Say hello if your also waiting to open the chairlift, I'll be on my 179 Lhasa POWs... Wonder if rose bowl will open early or if we'll be lining up at the rope for a good ole stampede.

The National Weather Service has a bias to forecast too much snow for areas north of the southern San Juans during southwest flow. They went 7-11" for Telluride on Friday but I forecasted 2-4" because I've seen this issue too many times. This also plays out at Crested Butte and Aspen as well...

Light snow this morning up here. Lightly falling fat flakes. I'll gladly take 2" refresher days and Wed should deliver for everyone.

Still waiting patiently for my first day of skiing. I can't believe it's almost Christmas and I haven't been up yet.

Maybe Wednesday or Thursday if the storm delivers.

These SW flows are sweet, but moderately wet. 18" at the house (would have been over 2' if it was blower yesterday, this AM's was dry), Wolf Creek is saying 21", Purgatory 18" and Red Mountain 10". Too busy snowblowing to ski it....yet. Short tour this afternoon and beyond. It went from drought brown to Christmas white in less than 30 hours! Happy Holidays
