Nah, it's not worth sitting on I-70 just yet.... plus, with the lack of snow down in town I've been mountain biking three times a week since last January.

Once the snow machine kicks up, I'll be up there with all you fools.

Awesome wasnt expecting that. Then that other storm rolls through Tuesday night. Steamboat looking pretty good on the snow front right now. There was an inch of new snow when I got to my car at the Mary Jane lot today although WP's twitter would make you believe it was dumping hard all day.

Great day at Copper. 2-3" fell during the day. Real soft snow under the board. An abnormal collection of gapers though....

It was nice. It felt like the first true winter day in Summit since last January.

Eagle County is warm, 27, and just flurries. Maybe we can squeeze out an inch or two tonight.

It's still coming down here in Durango. If it's coming down here it's going off in Silverton and Purg normally.

This storm has really come through for the San Jauns. Hopefully the trend continues.

this storm looks total money, everybody should get some. Here is what they are saying in the Elks...

"TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 10
TO 20 INCHES OF SNOW...WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS REACHING 30 INCHES ON
SOUTHWEST TO WEST FACING ASPECTS ABOVE 9000 FEET."

Haven't seen those big of numbers forecasted in awhile.

    More reading from the NWS...

    .LONG TERM...(MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY)
ISSUED AT 436 AM MST SUN DEC 16 2012

STRONG 150 KT PACIFIC JET THAT SLIDES ACROSS UTAH AND COLORADO
MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY PROVIDES THE SUPPORT FOR WHAT APPEARS
TO BE A VIGOROUS AND PRLONGED WINTER STORM. MODELS STILL DIFFER
ON THE DETAILS ON AMPLIFYING TROUGH AS IT CROSSES THE INTERMOUNTAIN
REGION...BUT THESE DIFFERENCES ARE SPLITTING HAIRS WHEN LOOKING AT
THE BIGGER PICTURE. WITH A STEADY STREAM OF PACIFIC MOISTURE AND
STRONG OROGRAPHIC LIFT...SNOW WILL BE EXPANDING IN AREAL COVERAGE
ON WINDWARD SLOPES AS EARLY AS MONDAY NIGHT. QG ASCENT WILL BE
INCREASING ON MONDAY NIGHT AS WELL...BUT THE STRONGEST LIFT
ARRIVES TUESDAY NIGHT AND DEPARTS WEDNESDAY MORNING. STRONG
BAROCLINIC ZONE REACHES THE NRN VALLEYS BY TUESDAY MORNING AND
THEN DROPS SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA DURING THE
DAY...REACHING THE FAR SOUTH ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. SOMEWHAT
CONCERNING THAT THE ECMWF SHOWS THE BAROCLINC ZONE STALLING OUT
ALONG THE I70 CORRIDOR TUESDAY MORNING FOR SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE
UPSTREAM ENERGY SHOVES IT. STRONG CONFLUENCE ALONG THE FRONT
OVERWHELMS ANY TERRAIN INFLUENCES AND WILL YIELD IMPRESSIVE
    SNOWFALL RATES NEAR THE FRONT.
THE NRN TWO THIRDS OF THE FORECAST
AREA WILL RECEIVE THE HEAVIEST SNOW...BUT THE SRN MOUNTAINS WILL
    NOT GET CHEATED....
    Concerning? more like celebratory.
