Woo Hoo...another 2 inches! The weather guys in Great Falls have got to have some killer bud going on up there. Maybe it freshened up the skate skiing and covered up the horseshit up Sourdough/Bozeman Creek...trying to stay positive...

Sweet. Another 1.75 inches out of the 6 to 12" forecasted... That brings our base depth to a well stacked 14 inches! Pretty neat how the meat of that storm just completely fizzled out before it even got here. Turns out Ullr is nothing but a scunty cock tease this year. Pretty awesome that Big Lie got a few inches, now their base depth has gone from "variable" to "new snow". I can't even sleep I'm so excited!

I would make a great substitute snowphone employee, don't ya think Mild Wille? Until then I'm gonna go find out just what kinda chronic the National Weather Service geniuses up in Great Falls have been puffin.

Shower Falls got 8" from that storm.

    Less whining, more skiing!

Big Lie, huh? One of those? Cool.

Speaking of ... full on boiler plate on the one run up at Big Sky yesterday. Swifty is still down. The upside is that it was nuking but blowing sideways most of the day yesterday. So who knows how that will do for snowpack as most of that will be blown around the mountain. At one point, it was full-on, uphill gusts that about stopped you mid turn. Gnar.

Keep doing your snow dances, fellas. We need it.

either Big Sky is lying, Boobcat Sig is wrong, or they fixed swifty. But Big Sky says swifty is working they are just waiting for more snow to open it up, maybe tomorrow they say

Fair enough, I was at Bofart shoveling snow onto the skate course (so grim), for a nordic race they want to have on Saturday. Long story short, Bridger looks fucking horrible from Bofart. But it is still early, if it is like this in 3-4 weeks we can all get together to pull the trigger for each other ;-)
Mwilly- Bozeman Cr should be skating awsome tomorrow and thru the weekend, skate or die dood!

Sorry for the negatvity, it's all meant in good fun though, what else you gonna do.

I did go skiing today though, and it was actually pretty fun, it was at that abomination of nature down the road, but it suited my purposes just fine.

Every year is different, it will always come at Bridger, every season is just random.

If you get bored, you should check out Shreddacord's photo gallery down at the 406. A conglomeration of his Bridger shots along with some others from around ski country, a bunch of the good ones from when he put 'em up here. Some damn fine work those dudes put together.

Stopped in briefly looking for lost sunglasses today and that is some damn awesome art on the wall. Really liked the stuff on the east wall. Definetly worth a stop.

Yeah, the resort leaves something to look forward to... We'll stop talking about big sky when y'all start talking about bridger again . There's powder to be had, ya just have to work for it. Knee-deep turns aplenty if yer looking in the right spots. Just watch that facet layer...
I think the potato gun proved the stability.

Just swifty. crazy horse, lobo, cj, mr k, and that was it at the end of the day today but still snowing hard. Thin cover up there though. Bowl triple was turning for a while this afternoon but it looked really bony.

    crazy horse:

For scale, that rock is roughly the size of a cantaloupe.

Shreddacord - These make me happy - especially this one below. Thanks for sharing the stoke.

I'm very much looking for winter, but if high pressure and little-to-no-precip persists for another week and I can convince Lexi to head out head-hunting ala Soft Booter, I won't be too sad.

Then again, I'm getting pretty fired up to ski gawddamnit.

edit--its the low traverse that tone hates, the one that makes no sense, no name/mundys not even pictured to the OB line, gotit (i think)

good eye basewledr. here is the original and the one I played around with. a decent size fracture out in argentina bowl in the background. We were working the tree ridgeline SE saddle style

one more hans getting loose in the pinnacle chutes. He's older, drinks more, and skis faster then all of us......

a cool sequence, inversion with the crazies peeking out.

softbooter knows best, fish this december, ski next May................... if u need a bump check out the show at 406. Matt has a sweet place to show and good beer. igband, stoke low I have done my part. thanks all
