And thanks for being totally stoked to talk skiing throughout the knee ordeal.
Just bring over those helmet cams buddy. Or else there's a daily fee for the day makers.

Fuck yeah, man. What a great line!
I followed your trail all the way out there that day and drooled at your tracks. Skied job one instead.

Sick line, sweet edit. Job One must be sick right now, too. Can't believe how buried it's got up there. 136" with more on the way. Between that^^^ and when Pnut gets his edit in order, this will be the sickest thread on TGR.

awesome skiing and website. more please.

anyone shred today? i'm gonna head up tomorrow morning. If I remember right we got up to 140 inch base 96-97 but then it melted out quite a bit before closing. Seems like we have to be pretty close to a record snowpack up there?

Ahhhhh blacktail!! Haven't heard much mentioned about it. Me and a couple friends skied the chutes next to the large cliff band about 3 or 4 yrs ago. You guys go in from E davis ck? Nice little slog but definitely worth it. Had some BIG cats following us in that area

Well, it's official, 140" and counting. If that's not a record I'm sure we'll be there tomorrow. Go forth and SLAY, my minions. Slay like it's the apocolypse.

Ha, I imagine a Dr. Evil - esque tone capone, directing mayhem through the computer, cackling gleefully when another rad line gets thrown.

    Slayage there shall be.

So deep up there. The snow fence on bronco is buried. I'll see if I can get some pics up.

Edit: Here's one. Top of Bridger lift:

And another. Not the rad slayage tone had requested because I was solo and it was funky/wind affected.

We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

Absolutely the deepest snowpack I've seen in 17 years up there, like things are almost unrecognizable deep. Super and Sometimes fit the bill nicely today. Lots o' folks out and about having fun.

    From today:

    Another top shack shot:

    Lazy Susan (?)

And a very VERY close call. Between revolving door and peter's, 2 ft crown, classic break on convex, dug in for dear life by punching down, got submerged but somehow held, slide ran over some gnarl and through the trees below. Closest I've come to biting it for sure. Glad to be alive, and you should be too!

End w/ happy shot linky not mine:

    Peace

No worries man, way better than staying home that's for sure. Nothing wrong with not being a hero when yer rollin solo.

Norse, those look like some fun runs. Another name for Lazy Susan is Turnstile. That line you got slid in is a sweet one for sure, I wanna experiment more with that one next year. Good to see you came out on top, you must have been doin something right! I don't know the name but Dr. Evil has a nice ring to it.

I wrecked bad in the one between there and Lazy Susan in April 09. Coat got grabbed by a 5 foot tall widowmaker coming out of a blind pointer and sent me tomahawking. Almost blew the knee. Limped down and retreated to the tropics for a few weeks on that one. Really stoked to see everyone making the most of what's up there while stayin as safe as possible. Ullr is very pleased right now by our gratitude and respect. Don't get too greedy and maybe this will be the dawn of a new glacial era.

I went up the ramp on Saturday; was bored and needed some exercise... Lots moving around out north, heavy wet slides. But upper mtn skied surprisingly well. Coverage is still awesome up there.

    From a couple weeks back:
    Phone booth was glorious:

Can't say i've seen job 3 that fat before:

Heard that it was nuking above alpine this afternoon but there were some big slides and the ridge was looking really sketchy.

I'm curious to see how tomorrow shapes up.
