I lost all my bridger footage except the first week, but i found my alta footy from this year!

Havent been getting into the bridgers as much lately because i signed up for summer school, then dropped it after the first week. Been getting downto Cooke though. DEEP! went to beartooth butte last weekend, huge cornices over all the main chutes, but they are in. going down there tonight to stay for a while. Hope to see some bridger heads on the pass next weekend. Me and my homie nate have an old white and green 5th wheel trailer. stop by and say whats up!

Edit: twas good pow skiing for the end of May. We'll be going into June with over 100 inches at Alpine!

Had a real nice run down first virtue to apron. It is amazing how wide hidden gully is right now. Then headed over to the nose. Fun run, but it was sliding pretty good on the bottom half. The bed surface was good corn snow though. Amazing amount of snow up there!

torpedoes you say, I always thought it would be a good idea if they had an orange flag on them like those on bikes so that sailors could jump ship before it blew.

juan-not biking anymore, doctors orders, but i will be looking for some ski partners for sure.

damn, i know a couple guys who've had the torpedo job. they said it was cool, but then they're all back in Montana.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

Oh man, the great one claims another. Saw these kids at the trailhead, figured something bad was going to happen. September skiing is not for gapers.

Heard about the heli rescue. Was up there to ski a few weeks prior and it was pretty gnarly - not a spot I'd want to go for a slide. Here's to skiing freshies soon...

Was there for the 7 pm show too, sorry I missed ya, base. Subdued except for the groms screaming and squealing for the urban rails and spinny, flippy jib stiff...I'm old and all, but meh. Good to see young uns getting their stoke on I s'pose.

    Bridger peeps,
I expect mad stoke from this thread this winter.

Feelin pretty weird about not being around after having spent my whole life at good ol' BB.
Seeing all the familiar faces at the ski movies in the fall, then at the ski swap, then at the hill every day
and in the shops and around town and on random backcountry summits...
makes me realize how important it is to have that sense of community, more so than to have a rad mountain. I already miss that.

On the other hand, I see the value of moving on. So if anyone wants to come ski in the Cascades this year, I'll be ridin lifts at Crystal and getting out some too. I offer my couch and a beer and a solid partner to anyone who wants to come ski. Hoping I can come visit the 'Zone, too. Remember your friends, and they will remember you!

    -Your friend,
    S

Shit, saw your post a day late. Did manage to make it over there for the show. When is TGR, 3 weeks? Might take you up on that! Late night ferries are a bitch.

I can relate, I spent some good seasons at BB years ago before doing time in Colorado and now WA. Hard to beat the vibe in Bozeman, but as you get older it becomes less important. The terrain is rad out here and there is more snow and you certainly don't have to worry about sinking down through three feet of cold smoke to hardpack below.
