All I Can tonight at the Golden Cinema. Times have changed a bit, looks like a 6pm show and an 8:30pm show (tickets at the door). The Gentlemen's Leisure Club of Golden will be there with some dope prizes and funds going to support their good cause.

It'll be a great time! Bluehouse is giving away a pair of Maestros, the Gentlemen's Leisure Club of Golden will also be making their first public introduction... and the second show is licensed with the Gentlemen's Club slinging drinks!
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

The new bulletins kind of suck for those reasons. But hey, all the cool shiny graphs are neato.

Can see what they are trying to do.... get Avi info to the masses in a quick and easy manner...... And they have done a good job on that front.

Do you think they'll post all the missing info somewhere else?

If you click "Show Weather Stations" then click on the individual station (windsock icon) from the map you can still pull up the temp and snow pack data. You just have to zoom in on the map first for the option to show up.

What is "Gentlemen's Leisure Club of Golden " ? Sounds like a strip club.

    And their cause is ?
Mrs. Dougw- "I can see how one of your relatives could have been killed by an angry mob."

I found the commentary / descriptions in the old bulletins useful - hopefully the current 1-2 lines are expanded as more snow falls & as more happens.

Yeah I was thinking the same as you guys. Like recent slide activity and the location of those slides and other anecdotal observations. I like to read. I like the icons too.

Thanks, I see the weather stuff now. Although it must be the automated station data without the benefit of being screened by a live person, because the Rogers and Fidelity snow pack numbers are whacked.

I also liked the more in depth commentary, hope it returns.

We'll get used to the new bulletins, just not sure if there was anything wrong with the old ones, others than a lack of graphical glitz.

Roadhouse is closed, no strip club in Golden. Yet.

The Gentlemen's Leisure Club of Golden is a non-profit formed by a few friends of mine to promote the community. Article in the local paper.

The word is that they'll still be providing the write-ups to go along with the bulletins. I'd imagine that the public safety folks and forecasters haven't been out much yet.

Yeah except it's run by cool, young, and in touch people not the oldies that frequent rotary, lions etc. It's great to see these guys giving back to the community they love!

Not to derail where this thread is going or anything, but I'll be in Blairmore for the winter. Any mags out at Castle or Fernie? Bringing touring and camera gear with me. Turtle Mountain looks really cool.

I was in Lethbridge last year, there's a bunch of touring down in Waterton, mostly off the Cameron Lake road. A good number of splitboarders in the area you'll likely run into. I think they've done some touring around Blairmore.

Marmot Tranqualizer 500 update. Skiing deeper on the sides of the run than the reported 25 cm manmade base suggests. Warm temps and a few cms of fresh made for... dare I say it?... EPIC opening day conditions. Main chair of 3 broke down at 3 and had to be run on deisel to get everyone off. Currently puking but we need a good 20 plus cms to get the natural runs open. Crazy busy for such limited terrain.
