Gracie had her first trip up to the adirondacks this weekend and had an absolute blast, although a couple of the slick granite descents down mt. colden and ladders through avalanche pass resulted in a bit of an attitude at some points. For the most part she was an absolute champ sprinting back and forth on the trails and dragging us up and down the hill.

Yay, boxer stoke! Funny how the white ones are deaf so often. Adore this breed. (After two decades of pound-puppies, I never thought that I would become a "breedist," but what can I say.) Honestly, the dog pictured below is the most well-behaved dog I've ever been around. He just kind of "gets it." Anyhoo . . .

Molly the boxer is still in puppy stage obviously. But behaves pretty well. We took her to sign language class. She will perform if you can keep her attention. Latest hobby is flying around the yard chasing June bugs. Intriguing how visually attentive she is. But when she crashes, it's like trying to wake up one of the kids. Favorite trick is to lean up against someone or another animal to act as an alarm for her.

My roommate had a deaf white boxer - great personality, fun to wrestle with, but could also play gently with little kids, died young (about 7) from cancer. Really big for a boxer (85lbs), without being too fat. Kind of funny bc i signed to him all the time it took me a while to learn how to talk to dogs again after being around him all the time. Great dog, but Im still finding his hair in a lot of my clothes/around the house. The stuff had a way of wedging itself into the fibers of your clothes. Here's a couple pics of bowser (perfect name for the big guy)

    TR: In-n-out

I didn't even know In-n-out *made* stuff for dogs! Apparently if you go there and ask for a "dog biscuit" you get a plain patty in it's own special doggy container.

I only found out about this because we rolled through the drive through to get a burger for myself today and the lady taking my order saw Linus riding shotgun and asked if he'd like one!

    Here's the photo TR:
huh, the car suddenly smells so good!

^^^^So funny. Wish I had a pup to buy a dog biscuit for
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Foxy at Cannon Beach, taking stock of the sand.

The two girls chillaxing. This is actually the very first day they met. We are at a hotel in Portland since Foxy was staying with my boyfriend-at-the-time in Bellingham and I was living with Speck in Brookings. There was a little tension at first ... but I think it turned out ok

Speck after a full body shave - the first and last time. Both she and I weren't super stoked.

Camping and swimming in the ditch. Not really sure why I took a black and white photo. It comes out crappy on my camera, and my dog's already black.
Great pics guys, keep it coming.

That is a BIG (and handsome) boy! How big will he get do you think?

Here's a couple pics from my last hiking trip:

Kaya, Jack, and I waking up from a nap in a remote mining cabin.

    Kaya relaxing in the tent.

    Jack watching the sunset.

Kaya and Jack playing on a snow patch.

Jack getting his last view of high country vistas before the hike out.

I hope not much bigger because getting him in my car is near impossible without a ramp.

Chainsaw, nice pictures. I really like the sunset one and this.

Powdork - what sort of "persuading" does "master" need? That's a good lookin' hound.
