The newest edition to the pack. Meet Lexa. 6.5 weeks and 10lbs of Malamute and Karelian Beardog

and here she is just before an attack on poor Starke's tail . . . their relationship has improved over the past couple of days. So much for his peaceful retirement.

I would like to see more pictures of her as she grows up. How big do you think she will be?
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Her mother was long in the legs and stood about 25" (I suspect she would have weighed out around average at 75lbs but she was a bit thin from her litter). Her Karelian father was fairly typical at just under 2ft at the withers and about 55lbs. I'm suspecting Lexa will top out around 65lbs, but its hard at this point to know if her frame will lengthen to favour the Malamute or the Karelian. Quite strong willed but very responsive to positive reinforcement. She's a handful but I am sure looking forward to the summer field season.
More pics sure to be posted!

    New Dog...Carly

We are fostering a dog from a GSD rescue. Samson the golden adjusted w/in a day, looks like we'll keep her. Pretty calm, crate trained and likes people.

From last week. Jack always has to check out the edge of every cliff/precipice we come to...

Hug your fellow k-9 today. My parents dog, was accidentally let out by the pool guys and got hit by a car and died yesterday. Fuck. He was a britney spaniel with a great nose, and would retrieve anything that fell out of the sky. RIP Conway.

Shit... that sucks, Brice. I would be devastated. RIP Conway.

I came on to post this video, but feel bad for you. Maybe it will cheer you up a bit. It's my dog Otis (the smaller black one) and his two best friends, Leo (the big black one) and Sadie (the white one):

Friend of mine got this shot of me & Jack in the Denny 9 ("Misdemeanor") couloir last Wednesday:

Jack is never so excited as when I get the skis out.
