Hey Ottime,
I wouldn't worry to much about it - my guess is 4 won't open until monday. I guess it depends how much snow comes down tonight. Tomorrow off to Kwood - early morning drive from the bay. sweet.

Hardest I've ever worked for two lift served runs. Resulted in 10k of vert, so no complaints.....other than the wind burn.
3rd Creek was over the head blower all day. Wow. Get some big lines this week, playas!
The Gnarth was pretty damn bueno today. Managed to get the day off, but had to take a clinic, which ended up being a group of 6 of us just ripping up Lookout for 2.5 hours. Snow was soft and supple with a few face shots to be had as well as some magician tricknology (flexing into the pow and bursting out of a cloud of "smoke" action). Lottsa tic/tac/toe action, to boot (this would be criss-crossed lines of untracked and tracked resulting in one turn of fresh, one turn of day old). Scored some serious wind buff, as well, though the wind scouring whilst skiing said WB was fierce and full-on Proactive (the pelting snow cleaned my face to a baby fresh sheen).
Things started to set up around 2:30/3 p.m. with some serious sludge and snow octopi grappling madness, but was still bona fide.
Solid day all around.
Well, hey, due to record snowfall Alpine has decided to "extend" it's season to within two weeks of when they used to shut down in an average snow year. Oh, wait, I'm supposed to be excited because in the press release there was an exclamation point!

Squaw was very fun today. Upper mountain briefly opened (Funi, Gold Coast, Shirley, and T16), however it closed shortly after. Never made it up, too much fun elsewhere on the mountain. Really couldn't go wrong with anything today. Lines weren't horrible either, if you knew where to stand.
Such a dilemma for tomorrow, who is gonna get more opened Squaw or Alpine? Leaning towards Alpine.
Edit: Looks like it might be another windy day tomorrow.
Kirkwood was awesome. 10 opened for a bit. Super windy but they kept 6 running. Ran into Schralphmaccio
I know nothing of KW conditions today. Almost all my time I spent in ski school. Wind kept refilling lines. Can't say I learned much, but it sure was fun!
After close, I thought I was cool climbing Sun Meadows Peak, but just as I claimed 'best skier on the mountain,' two guys sessioned Snowcrest! 40 footers from above the dormers to the parking lot snowbank. huzzah!

LOL!!!!!
Here we are shredding the totally retarded, 38 degree, windloaded, terrain traps with no beacons, brah!
Check it out yo, we totally didn't dig a pit, ski cut, or assess any hazards whatsoever anywhere near these trees! Sketch!
Gnarly shred, dawg! Guess I should have read the weather and avy report today!

Bukakke day out there today looking forward to tomorrow.
LET IT SNOW
That last pic is the shizz!!! Should be a good week to do something retarded on the eastside imo.

You are all fucking retarded. Any of you who went outside up in the mountains this week. I stayed nice and safe down here on the coast. I will use my massive intelligence to wait down here until everything is properly groomed.
That is not to say that it was not adventurous down here. No. We had floods. The streets were like raging rapids. Or at least like some what largish ponds. It was crazy motherfuckers. I even looked out my window at it.
Snowboarder missing at SAT overnight. I spent the night in the patrol shack at the top of West Bowl, but I did get some fresh tracks down at 7am.
Regarding the snowboarder in the treewell at Phouse, story is he fell into a treewell, had to take off his board to use as a hold to climb out, and then lost his board before he could get out. So there is split board somwhere up there for anyone who wants to look.
^^^which tree?
Snowboarder at Sierra was found upside down in a treewell inbounds this afternoon. Cause of death is unkown.
Maybe it was because he was upside down in a treewell???
That sucks. Not a way I'd like to go.
vibes to fallen snowboader and family. god that is awful.
