Go overboard with the PT and don't slack!
    No doubt.

Yeah, it was right after we saw you. We were kind of debating wether to cut over to the diving board section of the O's at the second half or just finish in B gully. Looked down and saw it was untracked going down into the rock island in the middle, sorry I don't know what it's called. My buddies went first, I went in 3rd and tried a slightly different turn sequence than usual in the little sluice above the rock and got totally grabbed by a hidden pecker tree, rookie mistake really. I should never have put my skis sideways in that tight spot above the air but I wanted to try something slightly different than the same damn turns I make every time there.

Pretty humbling, seeing as that is one of my favorite little go to lines early on a pow day. Doesn't seem that gnarly but it chewed me up and spit me out. The worst thing was tumbling out the rest of the line with my limp lower leg contorting in directions I knew were not normal as my ski was getting snagged by other little trees. Luckily I didn't hurt anything else at all, but I was really scared I was gonna wrench my knee in some other crazy direction by the time the tumble was over.

Overall I'm just grateful for patrol and glad I was inbounds and with two good buddies. Could have been worse in a thousand ways. I'm a lucky idiot today for sure.

Vibes from WA, Tone. I've got a right knee brace (CTI) around here, if you need for rehab/ potentially skiing on in spring.

Particularly if you dont have insurance.

    damn, that sucks. vibes, tone.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the vibes, nothin' to do but face it head on now, so let the stoke continue, please entertain me with your exploits while I'm down. Someone go slay that spine line next to Pencil for me, and make it a top priority to connect sick lines in D route! Word.

Strong vibes to you as well Tone, I don't think we've ever met formally but I'm sure I've run into you before around BZN. Stay strong! Two years ago my season-ending injury was from breaking my arm, falling down some stairs...at work...

Heal up quick and I'm sure we will be shredding big mountain rides on our bikes by August.

Gonna miss skiing with you homie.....thanks for always inspiring me to push myself harder every summer & winter and for being a great ski partner.

Don't worry buddy, that spine will get slayed and the D Route lines will get connected.

The rest of us will have to try to take some photos and keep this thread going for you.

Hell yeah guys, we gotta get our own game goin'. Just leave the nudity to the Californians please, with an exception for the ladies. I bet we can come up with our own "extra credit" points system, unique to our own enclave of mountain degenerates here. HMMMM.

How many gnar points for pounding a PBR while pointing Kneils?

750 for the beer chug, 1000 if its gone before the bowl road. sorry to hear about the knee tone, saw you crushing the days before it happend. Im trying to remove the hex of bad luck right now with sacrificial pbr's, gentleman jack, and strong dope, last week was tough.

How many points for a no poles-beer chug-spread eagle-crotch grab-point at Kiwi Grif- over angels flight? now thats entertainment.

Free Heal, is that the name of your medical dope provier or something?

If you wanna really do something sacrificial, you gotta get broke. only 500 points for B gully though. Break yourself off trying to invent a new line in D route=10,000 gnar points and first tracks for life in any social situation.

As for photos, I'll dig through the archives and try to provied something useful now and then. Here is a shot of D route on a great day in January 2009. Skied one of my favorite Bridger lines ever that day. Probly looking pretty close to where were at right now.

Well shit tone, really sorry to hear about your injury, I know the feeling and will do my best to keep the stoke high.

Not really anything all that long or good but here are a couple little pow shots I took yesterday out north. Got to ski revolving door for the first time ever (why I've waited so long to do so is beyond me).

Hope you're hangin' in there, Tone. Would love to see some more of your archived images. Nice D-Route pic...Morning Glory looked glorious first thing yesterday, but headed to Z for the first time this year; was able skim over the rocks at the top in hovercraft mode and enjoy some nice turns below. Job 2 has been great lately, too. Yesterday's pic o' the day...ripper named Kyle.
    Buy the ticket...take the ride.
