nice dood!! say hi to thrusty mcgreenjacket there for me...
Sweeeeeeeeeeet pics BobMc.
Be out there next week, hope to see some of the SoliSunday regulars...
Shit, well the Mrs. and I will be around next weekend, too.
We don't really have a clue where we'll go except Brighton on Friday after our plane lands in the early AM, but if anyone feels like playing tour guide, we'll buy beers ...
Oh yeah, and should I be scrambling to find an AT rig or Trekkers for wifey? I have 0 clue what the Utah sidecountry is like, but she doesn't want to bring her tele rig and we won't have AT clamps mounted on her alpine setup until we're back from the trip.
Wow, that is a really nice offer, MuleSkinner. Hopefully we are able to get the Naxos mounted before we leave, and depending on conditions we may or may not even want to skin, but either way, beer's on us.
Bob, you absolutely have to take me up fantasy with you. How about next weekend???

ARpowhound and I were up on Monday Jan 10. In bounds everything was pretty dang hard and skied out.
BUT fantasy was open and we took a run that was well worth the hike. We were laughing like school girls all the way back to the car.
Here is the hike/chute:
And here are a few pics of the 4th chute (I think).
This isn't the one we skied but I actually think this one is more mellow compared to the 10th one in the vid.
ARPowhound and I discussing our line.
Here I am dropping in.
Here is ARPowhound dropping.
One turn in and then point it! Keith skied it like an ANIMAL!
Last but not least Clay (our humble photographer).
Sorry for the re-post. I did it originally on the ski forum but probably should have just put it here. Later.

Today was stellar, even with the crazy lift lines. Circumstances made me miss both of my meeting times with Dexter, hopefully he had a good day regardless.
The LCC being closed enticed all the Holiday Weekend Participants to drive up the BCC. Unfortunately most of the HWP are new to the whole driving in the mountains thing, what would normally be a 15-20 minute drive becomes a 45 minute drive.
I've been skiing Solitude for years, I've had a pass for the last 8 years, I've never seen lift lines like today. I avoided the Summit lift all day, I lapped the nearby terrain in other ways and avoided the ferocious lines. I came upon the neverending Honeycomb line and headed off on the old school way down to Eagle. A family of four cuts in front of us attempting to "beat" us down to the traverse, it was funny to watch them all one by one beater off on the way down.
Rode a lift with two tourists who spent the entire ride pumping us for info on where the "freshies" were. We directed them to the Link Chutes and alerted them to the fact that Pat and I were indeed the "best skiers on the mountain."
I freaking love Sundays.
No worries, Bob. I didn't spend too long waiting for you (actually no time in the AM as I just went up when the lift opened, and about 20 minutes at 11 that I used to deal with gear issues).
Awesome day, looking forward to more tomorrow. I'll catch you next time (and if those lift lines are as bad as it gets, then it's really never too bad over there).

That was kinda deep, kinda fun and pretty much a total fucking gong show. Holiday weekend + LCC being closed = angry pirates
I'm bummed to be missing this storm, but will be around for next weekend.
Will be there starting tomorrow night until Monday AM...
Dex - how long are you around?
Here until Wednesday. Skiing Snowbasin tomorrow (it was completely unreal today--off the charts good), and Bird on Wednesday AM. Send me an email--lost my phone, checking email pretty regularly.

Hey I'm here skiing solo through Monday 2/28 - would very much like to hook up with some maggots. I know the mountain well, and won't hold anyone up ... promise.
Looks like another potential for a cluster $#@ with Little being closed this morning?
Who cares how the crow flies
I'll be up today Bob the groms bros are in the village shop mounted and tuned ready to rock

Oh man, the kid is excited. Thanks to Splat, Iceman, and the Solitude ghost SFB my boy is rocking a pair of Bros. The PM Gear child kickdown Brogram is alive and well.
The boy skied today in the Solitude kids mini downhill, he took third place and won a bronze medal. Between the new skis and the bronze medal he's pretty stoked on skiing right now. We'll be up tomorrow and he's claiming he wants to venture into the nether regions of Honeycomb. (He's gut punched it several times.)
One stoked kid:
