I was passing through the beeper gates on slushies as the guy's friend came skidding in, "My friend is badly injured..." etc. By the time I got to the top of the lift, they were shouting for everyone not to ski all the way down because it was gonna be closed for the rest of the day.

I guess the dude was unconscious, helmet was 40ft from him, busted eye socket and maybe his back too... he was starting to answer some questions in the base area by the end of the day.

Hope he can laugh about this with his buddy soon.

I second the vote of radness for slushies today.

And sounds like the dude with the busted teeth/face/head will be ok.

Awesome skiing with you too Lexi. What a fun day.

So what did the guy jump off of to have a crash like that? Sounds horrible....

Finding lots of soft snow this month for the little snow we have got. Maybe see some of you up there tomorrow morning. Totally stoked on this season.

Also, thanks to whoever turned my wallet in to lost and found...my wife will be happy I can get her a xmas present now!

Hell yeah guys, having technical difficulties at the moment, will throw up a few pics eventually. Nice pics guys, those were some good days. May it snow in 2-5 inch increments all year, just a little more frequently would be sweet. See ya out there.

Top 50 to 100 feet of the Ridge a little scoured and funkified due to East wind, but oh so nice below that this morning.

What the fuck, looking at the Bridger data, it says we've had an "above average" December, and that even before this storm? What is this Big Lie now? I mean, we basically had that one 16 inch dump and then Ullr shot us a few wet farts over the rest of the month. Jeez, I hope January can measure up to the oh so generous stats of December. Oh, and hey Basewelder, what's Glideplane?

Any word on what happened with Slushies open / shut today? The mass exodus back was quite exciting and I thank whoever the AWESOME skier was that kept giving me slingshots the whole way back. Truly, truly appreciated, I don't think I would have stuck around much longer if I had to skate the whole way back.

Lotsa injuries this week. Luckily I have been working too much to go skiiing... maybe?

One buddy= torn ACL, MCL, and maybe more. Hard to tell with all the swelling. Another=Broken collarbone, just out of surgery, and another got concussed today.

Super sorry to hear that single, vibes to the injured. Nice link Lexi, looks like the sad truth is that December was "above average" after all. That's really depressing considering how little snow it seems we got compared to everywhere else this month. Wow, it's actually above zero now! Gotta go.

Skied pretty nice over on Schlasman's this morning with sunshine and little to no wind even on the Ridge. I think you can have above average water content in below average snowfall; I'd unscientifically say that December saw below avg. snowfall with barely 3 feet falling total for the month. Will check on the h2o #'s; the automated Alpine station was out of whack at the very start of the month, but patrol has the manual data. Couple pics from this morning, thankful for goose down and November's phatness that lasted through December.

Pretty fun day today, super cold. Was out shooting with a buddy and skiing super slowly and mellow down lost shot bowl (didnt want to wreck with my camera) and prereleased with my dynafit lhasa setup. Didnt find the ski. Long hike out of d-route. Kinda bummin, but mostly just not impressed with dynafit right now. Give me a shout if you see it. Just glad I didnt get hurt when it failed on me.

Base, hope you heal quick. Should probably postpone the backyard kicker setup then huh?
