Nuthon, good to here there's a skin track in on Echo, nice work, wonder if we will see a full reset tonight.
I'm thinking he meant Echo Summit where the only tracks are made by chains....or did you actually spy a skin track on Echo Peak from that new deck with the binocs?
And I'm guessing a full reset tomorrow, but windy as hell too. Break out the down and face masks for Weds - Friday.

Yep Just did Echo Laps in the truck. It was wierd to ride after only the first storm & pre-turkey day. Pretty freaking unbelievable. Got a reprieve from the kid duties tom. so will probably be doing echo shuttle laps again starting around 10 or 11.

Let me know if anyone wants to join. I can fit 6 including the driver in my truck.

we saw you coming down on your second lap while we were coming down 89 from waterhouse (at least we saw a pair making what appeared to be the second set of tracks there). looked like a blast.

What are the odds Alpine or Sugar Bowl opens early?

I have no idea what the protocol and process is for opening a resort. But with all of this recently dropped goodness, what are the odds that Alpine or Sugar Bowl may open earlier than their originally announced dates?

Depends what you mean by 'original dates'. alpine opens friday, which was not their original date.

First off, kidwoo: heal quickly and well, mang.

Second, props to Coop for stepping up and participating actively and candidly. Very good to see. Almost makes me wish I'd followed up on the MSP comp, instead of deciding that it wasn't worth the hassle because I wouldn't make it there anyway.

Third, can I just say, when this is your scale:

... how the hell do you interpret this orange color?

They say this kind of snow is bad for base building.

What about 8' of it? Will that work?

    MAN!

I am in Verdi way down the hill from Tahoe and ITS DUMPING here Fat flakes and already another 8 inches on the ground.

It must be pounding at the Lake.

I remeber 1967? In Kings beach it snowed about 4 feet in one night. it looks like that right now.

My wife referred to it as the blast zone (she isn't as excited about it...).

And that's why I live in the middle of town instead of places like Verdi or the north valleys. It's merely pouring rain here (aka. no shoveling).

Edit: Nevermind. Lightly snowing here now too.

Jeeezzz absolutely puking in Tahoe this morning! Whiteout blizzard on the north shore. This is the kind of day where everyone stays home and offices are closed, great for pre-thanksgiving. Feels like mid winter!

Anyone interested in a Wednesday day trip from SF proper? The Gnarwagon is gassed up and ready to go.

It's puking so hard at my house that Uller has Boerhaave's syndrome.

i always heard there was a period of X years after Alex died that they couldn't sell it...

and that nancy was counting the seconds until that period expired.

i just hope squaw moves in the direction of snow bird and whistler (awesome lifts, open early and late) and not vail (retail/condo based).
    Still waiting...

Good to hear. I bailed on my niece/nephews school turkey feast in Reno in anticipation of 431 shit show. Now I feel better.
