Some cool footy here for sure, but what's the deal with two on slope at the same time in the backcountry @ 0:30? Always hard to tell the details on the interwebz, but that shot seems questionable......An early season avy with a thin snowpack = nasty rock trauma potential.

NICE! Fun skiing and lines in there. Loving all the quality helmet cam action lately. They are a learning tool as well as entertainment.

Maybe this storm will do the old wrap around trick and leave us with something more substantial by tommorow.

    its always worth it

base is a little rocky/grassy, but the fingers were good, and flippers was pretty good. and that's what you go for.

then it's flat back to base

I think it snowed more in town then up there.... Still descent in spots. Slaschman's, ROss Peak in Alpenglow, and Shane in Wolverine cirque.

I was dumb enough not to go totally north facing off the ridge, huge exposed rocks everywhere, almost all the beautiful October snow gone. Hope everyone made it down safe, watch the tib fibs homies! Ptarmigan was skiing pretty good and surprisingly fresh around sunset.

Pretty severe lack of stoke considering how many of you have gone up.

Well here's some pretty half ass stoke:

Last Thursday I went for a solo skin up Frazier Basin:

Then this Tuesday I skied madmans and peter's point. Here are a few mainly of the run out of peter's:

    JJ:

    Me behind a tree:

    Hidden is gnarly:

And finally today Aenigma and myself went up to the apron:

    Aenigma:

    Myself:

Had a great time today. Still pretty damn thin at the bottom of the hill, but worth it in my opinion.

It was pretty good up on the Apron and NW, but once you got a little ways below the top of Alpine there was literally 2-4" of snow.

Man this thread makes me miss Bozeman. Although, there is something to be said for Snowbird opening this weekend.
