This morning was an amazing decision. My camera batteries were not as charged as they looked last night so the cold kept me from capturing anything but I was able to get two laps in (and show up ~10min late to class). Coverage was amazing. Skied upper sluicebox (from ridgeline) and the nose. Lightly scraped a couple rocks mid turn right off the ridgeline before upper sluice but didn't touch a thing the whole way down nose->exit->testface-> southbowl.

Hooted and howled the whole way down. Feels so damn good to be making legit pow turns again. Have waited much too long for today.

Unfortunately the body is not too happy about the second lap on limited sleep.

Skied on the apron today. Lucky to get 6th and 7th tracks down because the masses were headed up about 11am. Snow depth towards the top of the apron was 97cm. Looks as if it started off as rain then turned to snow. The snowpack is right side up and DEEP! Looking good.... Get it while its there. Pretty much everything was getting tracked when i left. It was getting warm when i left and the rest of the week looks a bit more seasonable....

Well I see the Bridgers are in full swing. Sometimes I actually miss Bozeman.
    No longer stuck.

Started hiking at around 11 yesterday, seemed like that was everyones goal. Sounded like dawn patrol was the way to go but still had some incredible skiing. Didn't feel like making my own bootpack up the ridge but how was coverage up there?

Still pretty decent up there. Starting to mank up though.

Just for the hell of it, I dug a pit out in Bradley's and got a CT14 failure at the ground. Couldn't get my ECT to go. No crazy facets or any other fun snow--just some nice rounded grains. It was about 60cm deep where I was, with 20cm up providing a distinct hardness change from 4F to F. Still pretty earlier, but all in all the pack looks pretty good to form a base for the rest of the season.

Nice work folks, looks good! Worth heading out tomorrow? Headed up from Big Sky, have to go to town anyways, but might as well throw the skis in the car, right...?

After the radness at 3:10 and 3:30, I was wondering what might happen...
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

This was a great storm. Most perfect snow I could ever ask for, here's to picking up where we left off last Mayuary!

Weak sauce compared to the ^^^^^^^Helmet cam action there, but stoke nonetheless. Gives me more to strive for in life thanks guys!

    Pics are from 27th.

    The nose direct looked sic.

Ptarmigan/Avy Gulch were fun all the way down for a few laps:

Fun tracks abounded everywhere! No grass or rocks encountered.

    A gift:

    Our investment!

    Drool drool:

    This run was so fun.

Rolling up to this first was sweet! Sorry guys. Even the shoulders looked like AK spines.

    I kid you not.

Mid season fun on the first snowfall!

My buddy T-roy was stoked. He just kept on rippin, huge smile on his face. I just wanted to share that with y'all, as I was amping out of my mind on Oct 27th! Can't wait for more

    Nice, tone.
