It's not summer, it's May in Montana. Heads up for this weekend:
ANOTHER FAIRLY STRONG SPRING STORM WILL AFFECT MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL
AND SOUTHWEST MONTANA BEGINNING ON THURSDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING
INTO NEXT MONDAY. WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS
STORM...WITH MOST AREAS RECEIVING BETWEEN A HALF OF AN INCH AND AN
INCH OF PRECIPITATION. ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY.
ADDITIONALLY...AS COLDER AIR MOVES INTO THE REGION...THE RAIN WILL
CHANGE TO SNOW AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS...WITH ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL
POSSIBLE ABOVE 4000 FEET. THUS...WITH THIS AMOUNT OF LIQUID
PRECIPITATION AND SNOWFALL...BOTH HYDROLOGIC AND WINTER HIGHLIGHTS
WILL BE POSSIBLE LATER THIS WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND.
    Buy the ticket...take the ride.

thats cool , I saw on the Comicle a few months back the lottery deal congrats .

I still dont know how the low speed triple is gonna ease the pain on powder days when every one is gonna go to same place . I used to get 2 to 1 on Deer Park on busy powder(ridge closed) days .

Lexi- I don't work up at the hill during the summer. The crew up there works Monday through Friday I believe...http://bridgerbowl.com/forms/LiftCon...ClosureMap.pdf

On the BB website, they aimed one of the web cams at the construction area...http://bridgerbowl.com/mediagallery/bridgercams/

Anybody here ski the Y couloir on Mt. Black in the Absaroka today? I watched you from the top of the west branch of the Y. Looked like a great time, but a long pull for summer turns. 12000 ft. vert day for me.

    Cheers-

So I finally have internet again so I thought I'd put up some stoke.

I almost didn't get August turns this year but on the 31st, as I walked to my first day of school at 8am, the clouds rolled off of the Bridgers and unveiled a sweet little snowy cap. The entire class period all I could think of was skiing. At the end of the class one of my friends sarcastically said (after I couldn't stop talking about it) "You going skiing now?" About half way home I figured why not.

    Not much new...

Looks like the great one is still in (at least in the top half)

Clouds moved in as I got to the top. Maybe someday I'll grow a pair and ski this (obviously with more snow).

The fresh snow was kinda wet (no shit right?) but it was the first fresh snow I've skied in 6.5 months. So I was stoked

Ended up running into stone man and another guy (john??) at the top so I snapped a photo.

Then today I looked up in the mountains after my afternoon class and saw even more fresh so I thought I'd drive the canyon to get some sick beta bra (that's for you aenigma).

So here's some sexy photos for you fools:

Maybe tomorrow morning... I mean this morning... maybe.

(if I don't ski tomorrow does that mean the terrorists have won)

    too soon?

Well yesterday was a ton of fun.

The sky was bluebird and the air was crisp.

A bit sketchy looking at first.

And let the 2010/2011 avy season begin!

Gawd Damn I love the Bridgers... so sexy.

    Lookin' good

It felt like big sky; steep, chalky, and peppered with rocks

All n' all another great day of skiing

On the way out I noticed a larger slide so be safe out there

Well you couldn't see my form on the way down.

It gives me a good bit of pain when I have to hike downhill, but I'm still getting stronger. At least during this time of year the amount of down hiking is going to be less and less with each storm.

Though it was a lot of fun, I wouldn't mind having a season without depth facets either pancakes. Oh well, we can't control the weather, so we might as well enjoy it.
