Sure there are, this one works great for me. Load it with target reloads and it is just so dang much fun to shot a bunch. I was shooting a buddy's wildly custom ParaOrd 9 and it just didn't feel the same, nice gun but not me.

Early Kimber 1911's were good. A group of second generation guns out of NY were crap, and they have improved quality in recent years.

Although I have never owned one, I would probably look hard at the Springfield line. Had a friend that really liked them. Good value and quality for the money. S&W is making one now as well, nice piece, but a little more money.

IF you want to get into some $$$ on a 1911, look at an Ed Brown or Wilson. STI makes a great gun as well. Check out www.dawsonprecision.com for a great STI shop.

There's a reason I havn't posted pics of my gun quiver.
My dad's friend bought a bunch of cheap AK's from Russia back in the early 90's, thinking that Clinton would take all of your guns and you would have no protection. Once in a lifetime opportunity to get one, so we jumped on it.

This one is probably 6-7 years old, maybe more. There is a shop here in Wheat Ridge, GunSmoke cleverly enough, that I've dealt with a couple of times, bought a couple things from them, Rich the owner is a good guy. They did the trigger on my pdog gun and some other nerdy things and did real nice stuff. They make some powerfully swanky cool 1911's that I have the sweats for. Mo money.

That's one part of my problem... I've always lusted for a TRP, but then I'm only a few hundred from a Wilson.

I think the post you quoted was more of a finance issue...would that have been a 200% return?

I spent half of last week trying to find .40 S&W in stock, finally found some yesterday. People are silly.

For once, Tipp, you're right. It isn't a penis issue. It's a money issue. I would be rolling in it if I'd have stocked up on AK's last summer. Or 7.62x39 ammo, for that matter. It's not that the shit's expensive - it's that you can't even find it.

Now - back to cramming more food down your piehole to fill the void of your empty exsistence.

I wonder what Gorgoroth thinks about GUNS!!!!?

What the Welsh have to do with this is beyond me, and possibly the scope of this thread.

I guess then Jer(k)'s assertation that your people had something to do with a bet is accurate then. I stand corrected, and apologize to Welsh people everywhere.

M21 has different barrel, upgraded action and trigger (what Springfield calls their "super match") different stock, etc.

M21 is pretty much a hand made gun, with the result being that it shoots sub MOA groups. It's one of the most accurate autoloaders you can buy.
(The bad news is that when you miss, you can't blame it on your gun.)

A friend of mine used this gun to put 7 of 10 rounds in the NRA seal (about the size of a nickle) at 200 yards shooting from the bipod.
