got that fundamentalist flavor to it but I actually respect McCain as a person and don't think they are quite as Evil.

Sonofabitch. McCain "there are going to be more wars" and "100 years in Iraq" (actual quotes!) makes Bush look like Kucinich.

Huckabee on the ticket makes absolutely no sense. I won't say it won't happen since McCain spent 10 minutes sucking his dick during his Super Tuesday speech which was odd, but McCain not only gets nothing out of Huckabee on his ticket but it causes him even more problems with the conservatives he is trying to assuage.

    So do I.

IMO the huckster is simply too much of a republican psycho to really fit into a McCain campaign or white house.

    McCain/Romney is much more likely.

Actually, to really complete the "from the ashes" theme - it'd have to be McCain/Gingrich.

Romney would have been good for the market.. The others might delay my retirement a few years.

I think Charlie Crist would fit the bill.

McCain bringing on Huck would make the far rightwing nutjobs happy (i.e. that pill popping junkie Rush), but would also push away a lot of the independents that McCain has in his court. Risky play, doubt he will do it. And hopefully he will not for the sake of this country. Having a nutcase as VP (especially given McCain’s age) would just continue our downward spiral.

Dude you obviously haven't been following things. The conservatives don't like Huck either. Conservative means more then just being religious. I mean fuck Jimmy Carter was real religious too.

What are you guys saying? That Romney wouldn't have been good for the market or your personal benevolence trumps individual greed?

In Romney's 2007 Iowans for Taxpayer Relief and Iowa Republican Straw Poll speeches, he advocated eliminating the capital gains tax. Romney has since stated that he favors eliminating any taxes related to capital gains or other investments on all individuals or families who make less than $200,000 per year. Romney has also advocated eliminating the estate tax.[89]

I think we're both saying that believing one presidential candidate over the another to be "good for the market" and for sure cut years off your retirement horizon is pure-d-ignorance.
