"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy
A particular take; Ya gotta think that after 2PM Bonds will be look more favorable and Selig more culpable in the court of public opinion.
No Frank Thomas I presume?
I haven't suspected him, but can see where some people might.

i think this is humorous:
Mitchell's report exposes a "serious drug culture within baseball, from top to bottom," fingers MVPs and All-Stars and calls for beefed-up testing by an outside agency to clean up the game.
The report by Mitchell will include names of 60 to 80 players linked to performance-enhancing substances and plenty more information that exposes "deep problems" afflicting the sport, one of two sources with knowledge of the findings told the AP. Both sources said the report would not address amphetamines.
Why? Just because there will be more than just him discovered to have been doing roids? I think the opposite. After 2PM he'll have sealed his fate lying for so long. Peace out home run records. Back to Roger Marris's 61 and Hank Aaron's 755. The again, what if Barry wasn't on the list? lol
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that
the more people doing drugs doesn't mean a person who does drugs is less of a cheat.
Bonds will like he always has- a cheating douchebag. (Thanks for the correction Odin)
All this list will do is make A-Rod a hero and make his chase for the record a pursuit people will jump on.

While I like the word Truculent.... I am not sure it applies in the guise of an adjective to "loser"
Therefore I accuse you of post doping, and request to see your word of the day calendar.
Former American League MVP Miguel Tejada is mentioned in the Mitchell Report, due to be released by 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, SI.com has learned.
Seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens, plus Andy Pettitte, who just re-signed with the Yankees, are in the steroids reports, SI.com has confirmed, as are ex-Yankees Mike Stanton, Chuck Knoblauch and Jason Grimsley.
Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts also is in the report, as is Yankees and Braves postseason hero David Justice.
The investigation targeting Bonds wasn't done by MLB, it was done by San Francisco newsjournalists. Neither was it MLB that brought Bonds before a grand jury, where he (apparently) perjured himself. Bonds wasn't indicted for doing steroids. Even if he was the target, however- what's wrong with that? Someone'e got to be first, why not the unlikeable guy who's breaking all the records?
To the extent Bonds has been "targeted," it's because he was totally busted. But he wasn't busted by MLB. You think Bud Selig is happy about all this? Everyone would rather let sleeping dogs lie on this one.
I'm more surprised about the absence of certain names than the inclusion of others. I mean, Shea Hillenbrand? He had to be doping. Alan Embree I always suspected as well.

i'm not talking about this report in particular. this report only highlights the large number of other cheaters (minus the speed freaks) who were ignored. i'm talking about people going after bonds forever. i'm not defending bonds in the least but there's no way you could have convinced me--even at the time--that mark mcgwire was not juiced out of his skull when he was hitting all those home runs.
we don't know who benefited the most. is it the one of the best hitters/players ever who was already set for life and eventually broke a record that most people don't believe anyway? or is it a lesser player who managed to have a few outstanding seasons and earned a huge contract as a result?
bonds is highly unlikeable. he's also successful and black, which he was prior to having a big head.

Rontele has also been fingered in this report.
TR to follow
It only seems like forever, because grand jury investigations take a long, long time. He's never been liked, but I don't think he's been targeted. He could have just admitted it, like Jason Giambi did as part of the same proceedings against BALCO, and moved on. He didn't, and so the spotlight (and the investigation) stayed on him. Also, he's a colossal asshole.
Some light reading. Apparently Clemens gets killed.

haha, that's funny. Chuck Knoblach. hahahaha.
And, yup, if ARod walks through these raindrops, he'll look a whole lot better than he did a few months ago.
Gary Sheffield!
WHAT!
THERE IS NO WAY! That man is a bastion of good sportsmanship and could not possibly be on the roids.
It's going to be pretty hard to get any evidence other than the testimony of the guys who supplied the players (except for particularly stupid ones like Paul Byrd and Jason Grimsley). That's still pretty good evidence, but not many people are going to be caught red-handed.
