I'll bite. It doesn't feel as minimal as some pictures (like the lightbulb) but it's the best I can come up with

    Overexposed Night at the Park

I didn't take this specifically for the contest, but after seeing it, I thought it looked pretty minimal. Plus, I am tired of submitting nothing just because I don't find the time or don't like my results. This is a very overexposed night shot. It was an accident, but I thought it looked kind of cool. It is as bright as it is because of a large light source to the left of the frame - hence the long shadows.

Moderate sharpening and bumped the saturation a little bit.
edit: The horizon looks a little crooked, but there is a rise to the right

Not eligible- taken last X-Mas. I wanted to participate in this one, but I have been super busy with the baby. This is my idea of minimal:

Here is the minimal little thing that is burning my time up. I couldn't be happier:

Nice, I had only thought of it as minimal in the sense that it was a shot of one thing, not about the monetary value aspect of it. Very nice. I didn't notice too much noise like you mentioned above. There's maybe a little in the penny pic but I can't see any in the hall.

    Minimal

I hope the deadline is midnight mountain time, I got home tonight and realized I was going to miss it.

A pillar I found in a pile of concrete at the lake. It was pretty hard getting it to stand up like this, but I had a lot of fun shooting it.

    Provo Bay.

    A piece of the jetty.

Great entries from everyone this time. In the interest of full disclosure the sunset pic was taken within the deadline but uploaded the morning after when I realized my previous entry was ineligible.

Now watch me become what I can become.

The first post says they have to be taken between certain dates, not posted between those dates. These were taking yesterday but I didn't get back home until today.

junker, that's a great shot! is that a shadow or a sillouhette behind the blind?

these two aren't for the contest, they were taken today. i had just gotten a new flash and was experimenting and was thinking of this theme while i was shooting, so i thought i'd put up two i was happy with.
