Just found this forum, stoked! Minimal enough?

Pura Vida, nice use of rule of thirds. I like the contrast, too.
Bawheed, I love the colors! Did you use Photoshop on it, or were the colors that vibrant to begin with?
It went through Photoshop sure enough, but it matches the slide. Check out the Seattle Library if you haven't already.
Not sure if these qualify as "minimal", but I'll play anyway.

This is the worst pain EVER!
A couple from today. Not as minimal as I'd like, but I figured might as well post em.

lots of good contenders in this one.
Not sure if I'd consider most of the posted pics "minimal," but some solid work in here, good to see a few new folks getting in on it.
This one is the winner (of the two I was going to pic).
This one was the other one (not elgible, just wanted folks to see it).
In the end, I liked the penny better, but I thought was too much like the nut and bolt pic, and it had too much noise in it (the hallway has a lot of noise too, but it's kinda masked by the textures of the materials in the photo).
This is the worst pain EVER!
yeah I've been feeling that too, about my own pictures and some others.
what would you consider minimal.
i think the concept of minimal can have a lot of difference faccets, colours can be minimal, subject can be minimal, compasition can be minimal - if you tried to minimize every aspect of an image you would be left with a black slide, the trick then is to minimize a couple of different aspects of a concept but with out minimizing the response of the viewer.
IMO minimal in this case should refer to the visual aspects of the picture. Perhaps minimal light, color, density, subject matter...
just a thought.
In the case of the penny, since I exempted that shot, I'll talk about it (I wouldn't want to bias the view on some of my other shots at this point). I was thinking (more literally) that it's the minimal amount of US currency. Of course some of the other ideas above my apply as well.....
This is the worst pain EVER!
Like I mentioned on an earlier thread, I think it's great seeing how different people interpret the topics. Reading the initial topic post, I took it as making an impact with as little as possible in a frame, but also 2 of the pics I posted I don't think really follow that interpretation, but posted anyways.
What would I consider minimal? This shot from Truth on another thread kind of sums it up. Shot with a white piece of paper and desk lamp, I'd say that's pretty minimal, along with it being white on white and the shot in general.
