Don't feel too bad about that, I occasionally think the same thing about the Jacobs, God I hope they sell the Bruins.

Dude, you had to go Jacobs.

    Fuck I hate those people.

I really can't go to the extent I hate them without sounding like the loon I am.

Anyways, Sox won, it's all good.

That's pretty much what I'm aiming for, when I'm not aiming for hateful vendetta-type shit. Glad you enjoyed it.

And I've known Fitzy for a long time, did you know his real name is Nick Stevens and he lives in New York? And he went to NYU? And it's basically a comedy routine? But he's from Braintree and he's actually a big Boston sports fan, so there ya go. And GFY.

    Have fun with that.

Check him out on heavy.com, he does the "BS" channel. Not as funny as TownieNews, but oh well.

By the way.... 7 in a row for the Rockies and they're now only 2.5 games back of the Pads, with Francis going today.

Its too bad they're not on the east coast or called the Cubs, because ESPN doesn't cover anyone else- they're the best young team in baseball.

Since the Yanks have been on a tear since the all star break he's ignored his precious colorado team, so he's been slipping in rockies comments the last week or so to try and remind everyone that he's not just jumping on the next passing bandwagon and to make up for lost time. Look there goes one now! Allllll abooooard!

When the Padres by some miracle make the World Series we'll find out that on a childhood beach vacation to San Diego his great-uncle gave him a Padres hat, and while the Yankees, Mets, and Rockies are all his true teams he's starting to realize that...

...But as a joey growing up in New York, he learned to ski in New Hampshire and Vermont, and he felt a special affinity for the Red Sox--but was too embarassed to admit it. Through years of therapy he is now ready to come to terms with his deep seated love that he can no longer hide.

Are we missing anyone? Maybe he likes deep dish pizza, and colorado and chicago share the same first letter...

I wasn't going to mention it, but there are the years he spent in the San Francisco area coming to terms with his true feelings, and of course some of the very good friends he made there were big Giants and A's fans...

    screw the Joba Rules!!!!
They just brought the kid in with two on and two out in the 8th.
Steady dose of nasty sliders and they're out of the inning.
I think they saw that the sox just lost, and they're out for blood.....
3 more outs and back to 1.5 games....
Honestly, they just need to keep winning...detroit won today as well.

edit- and they use joba for the 9th as well, he closes it out with ease.......
maybe the yankees should keep this kid in the bullpen next year.

Yep, you're right fucktard. I haven't been to going to the games every week for the last two months. Damn, you Boston fuckers sure are smart.

I wasn't aware that I can't like two teams at the same time too. Apparently that's against the "I'm an asshole Boston fan" rules.

A-Rod could become Cubs player, owner

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3033203

I wouldn't mind Gay-rod on the cubs but owning the team too?

Anyways, just so you know: I'm not really judging you on the basis of your multi-team fandom. I just want to know if the Yankees or the Rockies are the best young team in baseball. Because about 3 pages ago, it was the Yankees. And now its the Rockies. So I'm confused. Please help a moronic grad. student going to a subpar school understand whats going on. I'm asking for some help here, not hate.

Not sure how much stock I would put into a-rod going to the cubs...
I don't think anybody really knows what's going to happen with a-rod, other than man himself. I can see him staying with the yankees, in which case I would welcome him as an all-time yankee legend. I can see him leaving, though that would, in my opinion, taint his image with greed yet again. I can almost see his chances of leaving go up if the yanks win the world series. In that case, maybe he would feel that he's achieved that goal, and then look to move on to bigger, more profitable, more self-serving ambitions. Who knows though....I just really hopes he choses to stay and go on to be the best player in the history of the game for the best team in the history of the game.

I'm just stating the facts, son.
It would be very fitting if he stayed a yankee the rest of the career,
passes ruth in the new yankee stadium and then bonds.

I hear you...but shit, stranger things have happened. That said, where would A-Rod play for Chicago? Right Field? Back at SS?

If you're going with the model that says a-rod is going to do what's best for him personally, his ego, and his wallet, then going back to shortstop would probably fit in there, and teams would definitely use shortstop to try and lure him away from the yankees.
It's ironic though, because I find it hard to see him getting more money elsewhere, especially given the fact that the yankees have a 14 million dollar headstart over the next two years (money still paid by texas). If a-rod ops out of the contract, the yankees lose that money and would have to start from scratch to pay him. It would basically be a big "fuck you" to the organization, from a-rod.

Barry Bonds to the Orioles next year? The Orioles have become such a hopeless joke, I can't even say that I'm opposed to the idea.
