This seems a good guideline. What would you expect from your wife in that situation?

Meh, sounds like he has it figured out anyway. Doubt this thread will still exist in the morning.

Ok, so I asked my wife about this last night and I told her my advice and now shes pissed at me. And was not even in the same state. I guess she would like to be notified of such events. I should have keep my mouth shut.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

    Wow- that sounds fun.
My wife would be pissed only if the chick was ugly.

    EGADS Tuckerman!

Never discuss "what if" scenarios w/ your spouse if you want to have a pleasant evening/weekend/week/lifetime(?).

Especially if said "what if" situations were gleaned from the internets!

Especially-especially if said "what if" situations were gleaned from the Padded Room on TGR!

    Live-n-learn, man...

[t] Honey? I have a question for you.
[tw]What is it? Did you not find enough money for the orphans?
    [t]no it isn't that.
[tw] Did you not find a place for that stray dog that we found? I don't want him to be put down.
[t] Oh no, nothing like that
[tw] Well, is it that charity donations at the church is down? I'll sell all my dresses and clothes to make up the difference! We can live on saltine crackers!
    [t] Nothin of the Kind!
    [tw] Well what is it?

[t] Well, a "friend" of mine, (more like an anonymous guy), trust me... you don't know him, from the internet said that he had a "through the pants hand job" at a party and wants to know what to tell his wife. I told him he should keep it a secret.... I mean what would YOU do.

    UPDATE

So I told my wife the story last night. I took the maggot advice and said it in passing, and made no big deal out of it. She responded with, "yeah, I'd expect her to do something liek that." And that was pretty much the end it. Life was normal- for a while.

Then about midnight I get a text. You guessed it, from my buddies wife.

My wife wakes up and asks me who is texting me at midnight. I tell her who it is, and she asks if our friends needs a ride home from the bar or something. I tell my wife they are drunk texting and its nothing to worry about.

My buddies wife is drunk once again and texting some woe is me shit about how my buddy is mad at her, and she feels lost, ect. So I shut my phone off knowing I was going to get them all night. This morning there are 5 texts on my phone, and I deleted them w/o even looking at them. My wife is now getting slightly irritated.

I think its definately time to tell him something. Phuck me, I dont need this drama shit....

Sounds like you made the right call.....

Regarding Tucker, I agree with your decision (sorry sprite)....better to put it on the table now, and then you better know how to act when the real stuff happens.

Regarding recent events. What about one text in response (with wife aware), saying, I am not your confidant and shouldnt be involved with issues between you and X. Dont mention any details (to be safe presume your buddy may read it)....so you want to be able to say, Yeah she texted me saying you were having problems, but I didnt think I should take sides (or whatever.

It doesn't ultimately solve the problem, but my cell phone has the ability to block numbers from texting you. I would do this if you can.

And I would first say something to your friend's wife that is making a pass at you before saying something to her husband. Tell her politely to back the fuck off and that this isn't amusing any longer. Give her the number of a deserving maggot to sub in for you.

Sounds to me like it's time to tell HER something... along the lines of "Cut the shit or I tell your husband everything."

I said in my first post on this thread that the first person who would get a talking to from me is the perp. If I were you I'd say to her--when she is not drunk-- "yo, I love my spouse and am very uncomfortable w/ your advances. So please stop."

She will be so embarrassed that she'll probably steer clear of ya for a while. And you've already told your wife (smart move) so she can't pull any vindictive bullcrap in that respect.

I respectfully disagree. I think deep down she may want him to do that! (twisted, I know)

I think it's better to make it a "me" statement. i.e., "I" don't like the attention I'm getting from you because it bothers "me."

    Hard to argue with that!
