That Time of Year Again: Albion Basin Pics

Hopefully the first of many wildflower photo posts. I get all anxious and itchy with excitement when the wildflowers come out. It's a couple weeks of late nights, super early mornings, and a lot of wondering...how the flowers look. Where are they best? Should I go to the same place or find somewhere new? What did I do with my 8 mos. old son? You know--the usual questions. Enjoy.
All pics generally located somewhere in the Albion Basin area.

Yep. Zeeeeeero snow up there. But what it's lacking in snow, it definitely makes up for in mosquitos...

Didn't contend with any on Timp - at least in the afternoon when we were there.

Great pics as usual, but how about some scenery change? Aren't there any flowers in BCC? Millcreek? Bells? White Pine? Uintas? You're not one of those side of the road photogs are you?

Purples and reds are coming out on Baldy now, on the SE aspect. If the haze would clear, you could get some new images at sunrise up there, with Timp in the distance.

Believe you me, I would more than welcome the change of scenery. The problem is that with such limited time, I often choose to go where I know the flowers are good. Also, as much as I'd like to hike hours away to a new spot, I just don't have that kind of time these days, so again--I'm confined to a bit of the same old. If only I did this full time...I would have a FREAKING CORNUCOPIA of wildflower scenics...

saw some pretty flowery meadows in the Uintas on sunday, though it took us 3 hours to get there, so that probly doesnt help ya much. on the plus side of shooting the same area, though, you come to realize how different the same place can look. fascinating really
