Exclamation Official: Long Board Weekend @ Alpental Saturday 4/14 & @ Stevens Pass Sunday 4/15

    LONG BOARD WEEKEND Cometh!

    Date: Saturday April 14, 2007
    Location: Alpental, WA

Follow up day: Sunday, April 15, 2007
    Location: Stevens Pass, WA

Skis: Minimum length 210cm or longer. Use the interworld, friends, and ski shops - party is best enjoyed on skis of 210 cm or more (though if you ski on less than 210cm you will be responsible for supplying our endless thirst for beer and you will be heckled all day courtesy of the Seahawks end zone fan club)

Snowboards are shortboard day=> 150cm or less will qualify your entry
*sNOwlerBladES are not an option- must be actual snowboard*

Attire/Uniform/Costume: Washington is uniquely the home of recycled ski wear. It is your job to do better. Merely bumper pants or 80's race gear is not enough. You must try to create a unique character to ensure a successful day.

Uniform/Costume highly encouraged, particularly 60's-80's funk. The Bar was raised through the roof last year by our current Long Board Trend Setting Champions in Tahoe - click here~
    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ght=Long+Board

When we're not out kickin' the gnar, We'll be parkin' it in the Shot 10 parking lot (1st upper lot on the left)
At Stevens, we'll be at the main base lot or across the street

I believe Mr. Clark will be providing some 'tofu-dogs' - but BYOB. We will have some unofficial PBR on hand.

Weather Forecast: 2500 freezing level & snow showers for Saturday; partly sunny for Sunday
*powder clause may be in affect* official ruling from Grand Master Flash Greydon Clark TBD

Tickets: $38.00 plus tax - purchase on your own @ Alpental
$47.97 plus tax - purchase @ Stevens Pass

edit: as this will be a worldwide celebration weekend, we hope to be collarborating with our fellow schralpsters and we encourage you, at your home area as well, to participate and celebrate Long Board Day!

Midday Group Therapy Session down 'Nash. Meet at top of C2 at 12pm.

End of the day champagne toasts & chinese downhill both days!
    Alpy @ Top of 2
Stevens @ TBD? Top of 7th or DD

Damn, can't make it that day.

Has Alpental made any kind of official announcement whether they will remain open after the 15th?

a little bird said the 22nd is the tentative closer but I think we all need to start emailing dan brewster at the summit and express our thanks for last year's extension and encourage another cinco de mayo closing weekend this year!

do you get bonus points for every cm over 210 skied?
Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

If I EVEN SEE a pic of one of you on traditional skis shorter than 210cm...

...you will suck, that is all.

Uhhhh...NO. It's 210 MINIMUM. Showing up with 210s is like having the minimum pieces of flair. Coming with 215s or 220s shows your dedication to the sport.

Bonus points MIGHT be awarded for speed skis or jumping skis since those suckers come in at god knows how long. Oh and the fact that jumping skis don't have edges. I'm going to leave that one up to Greydon though. He is the kingpin on this.

I'll be there with bells on.

Quite possibly. With ACTUAL bells on.

(in all honesty I will be late as I have to work my second job that morning and then drive up from there. so I will be onsite around 11:30 or so)
