Probably saturday with my roommate if you are down.

Depends on the weather though. I don't want to do it if its socked in, but the weather changes from minute to minute up there anyway.

mohshsihd----Sorry I have no pics. I never take photos......ever. Kinda sad for a guy with a associates degree in photography huh?

Any hooo, Some advice if you haven't done this line before. I've done it about 15 times in the last 8 years. The best way we have found is skinning up the lookers left ridge above dog leg as far as you can then booting the rest. The top is a little hairy, 3rd class scrambling over snowcovered rocks can get a little sketchy in ski/board boots.

Bootpacking up dogleg is bascally in a slidepath the whole time and is generally frowned upon by MMQB'S

Some people even bootpack straight up the couloir and this I have never understood. The line is so narrow that it basically ruins the best part. Straightlining the fucking choke! But it does allow you to check out the snowpack on the way up which might be beneficial for a first timer.

Just one other side note: Don't take more than three (2 preferably) or the last person just gets ripped off and if you are not on skins DO NOT HIKE IN THE SKIN TRACK! Local skiers get ever more perturbed at this than skiers elsewhere.

    Have fun!

PS it's wider than it looks!

Thanks, I was planning on skiing up the ridge, then booting like you said.

Wish I had some AT boots. Pissed I missed out on the Tornados on SAC.

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle
