I believe it my post was in the interest of the questions being asked a little too early on for lack of better term is a 'recovery' process. I agree that the "questions" post sucks. Not only was it unnecessarily public, but there was no way it was going to achieve its stated aims.

However, it seems to me that the board has largely self-moderated on this one, and Shmoesmith himself made a good response. If he can deal with things off-line as well as he's dealt on-line, I think he'll be OK.
