Some dickhead making up an alias to ask personal questions about a tragic event and running internet smack doesn't make the community any greater. It drags it down a notch, but the fact remains He/She has the right to post. Just as you can make a few thousand non ski related posts or others can post porn. If whining for moderation is your thing post on gapic or Ttips where your concerns will probably be addressed. NO I don't live in Ukraine. I live in a place that has FKNA kick ass skiing and fishing and I myself try to post things that reflect that. So you post what you feel is relevent I"ll do the same and all the other maggots will do likewise and I"ll accept the good w/ the bad. If CM wants to delete or come clean fine. IMO we don't need any moderation.

We only do it because we love you.

A notch? Uh. I don't think 6+ pages of commentary equates to a "notch".

I believe it my post was in the interest of the questions being asked a little too early on for lack of better term is a 'recovery' process. Also pointing out that someone is far too much of a pussy to come out as themselves to ask such questions. What are they afraid of? Being scorned? They must be someone popular in the utarded scene if they need to hide behind an alias. Ask these questions later. Not now, certainly not when people are still in grieving. It was in horrible fucking taste and didn't belong here. Who are you? CM himself?

I'm not so sure you do try considering you're "OK" with a post like that.

It wasn't very relevant at all.

The only thing worse than the feeling that you are going to die is the realization that you probably won't.

Just line your helmet, Stump. Then never take it off, not even in the shower.

I agree that the "questions" post sucks. Not only was it unnecessarily public, but there was no way it was going to achieve its stated aims.

However, it seems to me that the board has largely self-moderated on this one, and Shmoesmith himself made a good response. If he can deal with things off-line as well as he's dealt on-line, I think he'll be OK.

As things stand, I'm not going to delete the thread.

I have noticed that when you post, you often say more about yourself than the topic you chose to speak about.

It was exactly 11:45 PM last night when I decided that half the people on this board should get a fucking life.

Hey Roo, do you know what a spudger is? I'm trying to pry apart a Powerbook G4, and the instructions say to use a spudger. Sounds like some sort of UK talk to me.

I dunno, but Thomas the Train, and that pimp Sir Topemhat are really cutting into my ski budget.

Obviously it's a clue that it's the member with 2,345 posts. No one has that number right now. I'm sure the tricky bugger started deleting posts as soon as his/her cover was blown!
