should politics be in ski films?

I was just turned onto a new site that has a ski film with a prett gnarly politcal message. Should ski or snowboard films have a message or should it just be straight action?

generally, no, I'd prefer not to think too much about politics when watching ski porn.

but if a film maker has the desire to make his whole piece political in some way, he has the right to do so.

Gnarly is good I just wonder if George bush and Osama bin ladden burning in a car is something that should be in a ski film. I got a good kick out of it but just curious what others response to this message in a ski flick would be?

Not sure if the film will have this much in it but it looks like the trailer to www.thelevitationproject.com new movie has the entire team shooting and blowing up George bush and Osama bin ladden.

Without a climate conducive to the production of snow, there will BE no skiing...So, inherently, any documentation about the joys of winter recreation is, by definition, a political call to action against global warming.

Or it is just a hedonistic ski film.

Which view would you be proud to have held, (if) all the evidence is pointing towards the extiction of the sport in any sustainable fashion?

Just something to think about as you look at a green St. Anton.

if you have a audience maybe it is right to express your voice even if its in a ski or snowboard film. The average age of the people that are your viewers are in the voting years. Maybe if the whole ski or snow crowd voted we might of not ended up with that retard in office?

I remember in stumps 1989 film (forett which one) he came out pretty strong anti war. I think its one thing to be totally anti bush and quite another to make a film thats promoting peace through skiing.

I dont think they are really doing anything other than doing a "saturday night live" type kick off to their first film. It is pretty funny to see Bush sucking off Osama and paryting with all their oil money at a gas station. World peace is a whole other ball game or era of ski film.

Allow me to save the rest of you all 15 minutes of your life by summarizing this "ski" film trailer

SCENE 1:
Two dudes in osama and W masks run around the playground being best pals for a couple of minutes, then W dude gives Osama mask a hummer

SCENE 2
Osama and W skateboard over to go to a 711 and rap at the gas pump while taking wads of cash from the same dude over and over

SCENE 3
Osama and W get in a limo with ugly hookers, flashing their cash, until weird people in gas masks with shotguns throw out the hookers and kidnap W and Osama

SCENE 4 Soundtrack = Slayer - Raining Blood
Gasmask-Shotgun guys drive out to the desert and shooting the hell out of some sign on a chainlink fence. Osama and W (who transforms into the devil) escape and run away

SCENE 5
Osama and W carjak some dude in the city and then proceed to drive out to the desert and their car stalls right in front of the Shotgun/Gas mask dudes

SCENE 6
Shotgun/gasmask dude jumps on the hood and spraypaints a W then the circle/slash no sympbol over it on the windshield. Thhen they pour gas on the car and light it on fire... dancing ensues.

Scene 7
2 minutes of some skiing shots intercut with snowboard/urban jibbing, skateboarding, some guy smoking pot, some people partying in a club, and some guys drinking beer.. then some dude yells "all over your face bitch"

CREDITS
3 minutes of credits with some guy on rollerskates

The fifteen minutes wasn't that bad. Found humor in the trailer or what ever it was. Good site and easy to navigate through. The photos were the best part of the site.....

Still spam but quality spam if there is such a thing. Politics should stay out of skiing.
