The batteries in the beacons went dead after that cold snap we had. They need to dig them up and replace the batteries. I'm sure if you offered to help they wouldn't mind a lending hand.

I met TH the first time on a multi pitch trad climb. Second time I met the guy was to ski the Grunge on Timpanogus - one of the more technical lines I've ever skied. The reality is that you can find good partners from the internet but the honesty/open book policy is best when approaching the opportunity to tour/climb together for the first time.

favorite quote "im going to ditch my avy gear - the danger is low today anyway" someone actually said this to me while out in the bc one day. my response - "well then im gonna ditch you!"

favorite quote part 2: i was asking someone who i trusted and been with before about someone i met on the internet "i wouldnt cross a parking lot with that person!"

lessons learned - always evaluate people you are going to tour with and check with others to see if they have been out with them and can vouch for that person! dont plan big trips with people you have not met before!

I'll go ahead and vouch for Patrick and Max. But don't go anywhere with iceman and if brett invites you to his stash just say no.

Plenty of well-trained people don't wear avalanche gear in Low conditions. I wouldn't necessarily hold it against them.
